Have you set WEP or WPA security? Make sure you have set the correct security code in the PS3

How do i get a netgearn300 router to get a connection from a wifi device

Well connecting to your router is simply a matter of joining your wireless network. When you try and connect to the PS3 the router will automatically route your traffic to the PS3. The real question is does a PS3 support SMB or CIFS (file sharing protocols) that windows will understand. If it does just enable them on the PS3. Then in Windows open up "Computer" and click "Map a Network Drive", select a drive letter to map to on your local computer and for an address it will be in the form \\<PS3 hostname>\<share name>

My linksys WRT54GP2 wont connect to my ps3 ive done everything write it keeps comming up to check my wireless settings what do i do

Have you tried connecting it through a wired connection? Although PS3 is wireless, it is generally a more stable connection when connected through a wired connection rather than wirelessly.

For some reason my router is unable to be picked up by anything as an access point. It's a WRT160n V.3 Linksys router so it has an access point built in. However when I go to scan for a access point on my...

I believe you will need to upgrade the firmware of the router. This model has issues with the firmware. Download the firmware of the router from the www.linksys.com/download on the main computer. the computer should be connected to the router with the cable. Do not upgrade the firmware on a wireless computer.
open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware.
After upgrading the firmware, it is recommended that you should reset and reconfigure the router.

PS3 and Netgear WGR614 V7 Router

Basically the PS3 wireless settings needs to be configures with the Netgear wireless router settings.
To test if the modem is connects to the Internet, connect a computer into the modem, if it works then the modem is configured correctly. If it doesn't work, then contact your ISP and get them to test your modem connection.

Wiring up 2700hg-b wireless router

Hi, you will need a ethernet card in the pc to connect up a wireless router, most dont work with usb,
otherwise you would need a wireless adapter.
once you do get it connected, go into internet explorer and type in the ip adress for the router, will then come up with a menu for you to programme in your broadband details, once you get the router up and going, go into the PS3 settings, network settings, it will pick up the router all you need to do is enter the network key and its all go from there.,
ethernet card should cost you about £10 from any shop
Happy New Year

Ps3 issues

ok so for the ps3 you should select the option to scan for your wireless network instead of manually configuring it. if it asks for your wep key, you could find it under your modem. just look for the 10 digit key inside the brackets
