How to fix restarting problem on Asus desktop comptuer?

I've been having trouble with my computer lately. It is starting to restart itself everytime i try to play a game on my computer and that is the only time it does that when im about to play a game. And just recently it started doing it alot, when i ust to play games it would only do it once or twice a week. But now i cant even play any games for more than 30 minutes! I thought it was because it was over heating and all the dust, so i cleaned it out and made sure that the fan had no dust in it. But i still have the same problem! Can you help me fix this problem? I am all out solution to why it is doing this!

It could be a marginal power supply, gaming puts more requirement, processing power, therefore more power is required by the CPU and the graphics card. And of you are overclocking then it needs even more power and generates more heat. Do you have a video card installed or just using the integrated video?
Another possibility is temperature threshold setting in the BIOS or some control panel tool run within Windows. If the threshold is set too low, the computer will turn off to protect the CPU. It may have something to do with the fan settings. Quiet setting for fans may prevent them from going full speed to cool things down.
Try to run a system monitor tool to see how its handling the extra gaming load.

SOURCE: My computer is restarting all the time. How can I check why this is happening?

First, make sure you have anti-virus software that is up to date and the computer isn?t infected with anything. If it?s not a virus, restart the computer and enter Safe Mode (press F8 while the computer is loading), and wait a few minutes. If the computer doesn?t restart itself in Safe Mode, then you might be having a software problem. If it does, it?s a hardware problem. There are a lot of possibilities. The problem with windows is that it restarts automatically every time there?s a problem and it?s hard to see the message that appears detailing the problem. To change that? go to System Properties in the Control Panel and click on Advanced>startup and recovery>settings. Remove the check no ?Automatically restart?. Next time the problem occurs you?ll get some more information about it that would help you solve it. Good luck.

SOURCE: my pc turns off itself

Check your cpu heatsink/fan. This sounds like an overheating problem as the cpu has a sensor that will automatically shut down your system to prevent it from frying. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My Dell Dimension 8200 PC keeps re booting itself

As soon as u see the black screen...hit F8 repeatedly to get it into Safe Mode.....then go to system restore and reboot/restore system back on a saved day. Then run your virus protection and scan for malware. This should get you back online. You may need a full system scan to locate the effected DLL's anmd killl off your intruder.

Camera is disabled on my Asus G75W?

Hello,

DO a system to go back to a known good date. Go to start > programs > accessories > system tools > system restore. Select a date when the camera was still working great. Let the computer restart by itself to complete the restoration.

If no go, try going to safe mode: Restart the computer and tap F8 once you see the options to go to safe mode, use the arrow keys to highlight it. Press enter and try if your camera works inside of safe mode.

If your camera works in safe mode, then it's a software problem (specifically the driver). If all fails, I suggest that you install Radarsync and let it run so that it will automatically search for outdated drivers. It will update them all as well.

I hope this helps!

I have a asus motherboard it restarts on starting windows screen I've tried to boot in safe mode that doesn't work

That means there is a problem in the booting environment of the system. This usually results from a virus attack that changes the booting environment. The best way to go around this problem is to slave the hard drive to another desktop computer, access it and make a data backup. By slaving the hard drive i mean, connecting it to a working computer but do not let that computer to boot from your hard drive because it can not. Boot form the working computer so that you can be able to see your hard drive in the 'my Computer" menu as drive E of D or F depending on how many partitions are available.

After making a backup, take it back to youe ASUS motherboard and perform a clean installation of an operating system. This should fix the restarting problem.

ASUS U50F webcam not working for months. I have looked through tons of forums, I've tried contacting the *nonexistent* support on ASUS' website and they never even helped me. I got this notebook...

Most likely you have another chat program using the camera. Right click on the icons in the systray next to the clock and exit programs. After exiting each program, try the camera again. The last program you exit before the camera is the one causing the problem. Restart the computer and right click on that program and try and set it to not start when the Windows starts.

Every time i play games my computer is restart

Have you installed anything new lately into your P.C.? Graphics card , Ram, etc.. does this only happen when starting games?
Perform 'Disk Cleanup' and 'Disk Defragmenter' both found by clicking 'Start button', 'All Programs', Accessories', 'System Tools', then select 'Disk Cleanup' 1st and finish that before selecting ' Disk Defragmenter', When completely finished reboot P.C. and try your games. If it still happens it might be a simple thing like replacing the Power Supply Unit (PSU). The P.C. sounds like it's demanding more power when starting games and the P.C. restarting to protect itself.

Hi I have got a dell optiplex gx270 with the licence of win xp pro, I am trying to restore the system with ctrl F11 but nothing work, when I select boot from cd the system lunch win xp pro with login and...

if you want to restore the computer to the factory settings.
restart the comptuer. immediately hold down the CONTROL key and start tapping F11 key.
Note : all of the data and software would be lost. Your computer will be restored to factory settings like a newly brought system.
IF this does work then go to bios, and make cd rom as the first boot devices, hit f10. now, hit "escape" once and select, "save" and hit enter.
Now, comptuer will be restarted. Now,start tapping space bar, It will boot from the disk.
else restart the computer and again start tapping spacebar at the startup.
