To install a drywell(or sump pit) you will need to dig a hole beside the pool(usually les than 3' from the pool wall or in the same backfill material as close to the the overdig for the pool as possible. The goal here is to get down the the bottom of the pool wall in the backfill material so you can access the ground water that is accumulating around the pool to pump it out. Dig a large enough hole that you can install either clay tile, "Big O", 8" plastic pipe or something that will allow you to lower a submersible pump down and pump the ground water out. Keep in mind that it will be perminently in the ground and needs to hold back the surrounding soil or backfill. It's a good idea to drill several holes around the pipe as well as up a few feet from the bottom to allow for the water to pass into the pipe. Lower the pipe into the hole you've dug, fill the outside with clear gravel to the just below the top of the pipe then lay some filter cloth on this stone. Top it off sixth some soil and cover the pipe opening with your choice of either a decorative patio stone or flagstone. It's a good idea to peek inside the pit weekly to pump out any water. Especially in the spring and fall when the pool has been shut down for the year if your in a climate that this is necessary

Good luck on your warranty. I'm sure it will be pro-rated. 10 years is a long time for a liner to last. It usually costs 2,000-3,000 for a new liner and installation.

Above ground pool leak

Is this an above ground pool or an in ground pool? As a general rule you don't want vinyl to go too long without water. Water helps things stay in place. If the vinyl starts to shrink and bow inward there is a good chance that it will lose its elasticity and split when the pool is being refilled. I would advise you to go ahead and refill the pool. Leaks can be repaired underwater. In the event of a split I'd go back to the installer and pursue a new liner at his expense.

Magnetek pool pump has 2 black and ground which one is the hot

Wiring diagram will show on side of pump, including voltage and amp rating.

120Volt and 240Volt circuits.

If you are wiring for 240Volt, then both wires are hot.

If you are wiring for 120Volt, then connect Hot and Neutral to either black wire and check rotation of pump.

Make sure ground wire is connected to pump, and never touch electrified outdoor equipment when power is on, especially standing on outdoor surface. Stand on dry boards to avoid grounding yourself.

I have a Pool Eye PE23 and the instructions don't show how to install it on an above ground pool. Do I put it on the railing as I haven't got a deck for the pool?

This particular pool alarm is made for an inground pool. As far as I am aware, you cannot use in on an above ground pool. You will need a pool alarm that is designed for an above ground pool.

How deep can we dig for oval deep-end pool

This blog has information about sinking an above ground pool. It is normally recommended that you do not sink the pool entirely into the ground becuase of pressure concerns and the risk of collapse. Generally, you leave 1-3 feet of the pool above the ground and install a deck or similar feature to make the pool appear to be in the ground. The type of pool liner that you have (expandable) is best for this practice, but it can be done with overlap or regular beaded liners also.
