Question about Viking Designer Series DFUD041 (Premium) Built-in Dishwasher

Cycle just continues with the pot symbol blinking

My Viking DFUD041 just hums or continues swishing or running with the Pot symbol blinking. Now when I look up the symbol in troubleshooting guide it says a blocked drain. I took the hose off the trap and attached a shop vac to it to see and nothing. Even when turning off the main switch and unplugging when I plug back in the motor still runs. I took the screen off and it was clear. Could it be inside?

It wound up being the drain hose was split at the bottom. The vikings have a saftey pump. When water runs into the pan the pump keeps running. It does this so water doesnt flow all over the floor.

Disconnect the hose and run it into a bucket, is it pumping freely?.

did you check the trap for a blockage?

You may have a leak in the pump housing area below the unit, this would cause the drain pump to run continually.

You didn't indicate a specific model. So, I'm going to assume yours is relatively the same as my JWX27.

Let me start by clarifying what the red light indicates.

A solid red light indicates the cleaning cycle is in progress. A blinking red light indicates the coffeemaker is off, but due to be cleaned. When the coffeemaker is due to be cleaned, the red light will continue to blink while the coffeemaker is off until the cleaning cycle has been completed fully. The entire cleaning process takes about an hour and a half. And, it is not intuitive. So, here are my instructions.

With the coffeemaker off (with the red light blinking), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Don't short the amount. You'll need four cups to complete the cycle. Remove any filters, but leave the strainer basket in place. Tap the "select" button three times until the red light is on (and stays on, not blinking). The cleaning cycle now begins. It should take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete. Don't be concerned about the 30-minute long pause during the cycle when nothing happens. This is intentional and part of the cycle.

After the cleaning cycle has completed, get rid of the vinegar. Rinse out the strainer basket and the coffee pot. Run a full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle (with the pot and basket in place, of course). Then, dump the water, rinse the pot and basket again, and run another full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle. Dump that water too. And, you're done!

I presume you are requesting instructions for cleaning this coffeemaker...

Cant get the cleaning cycle to end dont know how to get it off

If the red light is still blinking, then the cleaning cycle has not yet been completed. The cleaning cycle is not intuitive.

Model # jwx23 mr coffee cleaning instructions

I couldn't find any model JWX23. So, since your question (as much as it is) is categorized under model JWX27, I'm going to presume you need the cleaning instructions for model JWX27.

With the coffeemaker off (with no lights on or with the red light blinking), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. After the cleaning cycle has completed, get rid of the vinegar. Rinse out the strainer basket and the coffee pot. Then, dump the water, rinse the pot and basket again, and run another full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle. Dump that water too. And, you're done!

Hi - my Viking dishwasher has developed a problem where the pump runs continuously, whether the power switch is ON or OFF. After the power is turned ON, the troubleshooting guide indicates that there is...

if you open the kick plate, you'll see the pan below the motor and check for leaks. The leaks will trigger the sensor to pump water out. Once you dry out the pan, the pump motor will stop and you should be able to reset the program.
