Question about Sony NW-E405 MP3 Player

1 Answer

MP3 & SonicStage

I purchased a sony NW-S705F, installed SonicStage 4.1 software which came with it. When transferring files from SonicStage to MP3 player an error message comes up relating to omgjbox.exe and it shuts down automatically. I have installed the latest SonicStage 4.3, rebooted and it still happens. I have downloaded the latest microsoft updates and visited the sony website for help, still no joy. Any idea how I can sort this out? Any help would be much appreciated.

Make sure that you have transferred songs with SonicStage and not any other software. If you used a software other than SonicStage, format the WALKMAN with the menu itself and transfer songs with SonicStage.

I have a sony network walkman nw-e55. the problem is that windows 7 doesn't recognize the device and i can't transfer music to it. install sonic stage didn't solve it and i can't find a driver that works....

Hi,

The NW-E55 Walkman Player is compatible only with the SonicStage Software for transferring the songs. Unfortunately, the Software is not compatible with the Windows 7 OS and won't be able to transfer the songs from the Windows 7 OS using the SonicStage Software. Only option to transfer the songs to the Player using the Software is via Windows XP or Vista. However. once you install the Software and transfer the songs, you've to use the same computer to transfer or delete the songs again.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

You should be using SonicStage software in order for you to play mp3 files on it. But there is another way of transferring music on it via drag and drop. You can use MP3file Transfer Software.

Try downloading the newest version of SonicStage from the website.
Select your Model and click the blue button.
