Open Question

Hi there. My digidoor 2 only opens. I can manually close, but the motor only turns one way. Can anybody please advise?

The digidoor 2 motor does not close. It only turns in one direction regardless how many times in push the remote, or reset the mashine.

You are receiving interference from the digi door. You will have to return this unit and go with a different one on a different frequency. Chamberlain makes a clicker that would work well with that unit. Thanks BB

SOURCE: Hi, My Digidoor II opener only

I had the same problem easy to fix!
It's the rocker rail (small plastic thing that ajusts the power and direction) that is damaged. Buy the part for R36-00 from any Digidoor agent 011 3978448.
Remove the motor from the installation rail and open the blue motor cover. You will see the rocker rail is attached to the blue cover, one of them will be broken. Replace both of them (up and down)!

SOURCE: My digidoor 2 opens fully

It sounds like either something is blocking the electronic eyes (or maybe the lenses are dirty), or the down pressure adjustment is too low (it might need to be re-adjusted).
There are usually several adjusting screws on the head of the unit itself. They should be labled.
The instruction manual should also explain how to do this if you still have it.
Also, the electronic eye sensors might need to be re-aligned.
Good Luck!

My digidoor 1000n motor recently did not close all the way leaving a gap of about 60 mm and yesterday the gap seemed a bit bigger more like 100 mm how do i set it to close fully

on the rail there should be 2 cylindrical black magnetic read switches with white wires connected to them.
Those are the open and close distance units
sometimes they come loose and move with the vibration of the motor when opening the door

Can i fit 12v battery backup for digidoor 11 to open when there is loadshedding. My digidoor2 had the extra consoke for remote receiver

Nope, Digidoor II has no battery backup. You need to invest in a UPS or replace the motor.

Digidoor one, Digidoor III and the Digidoor IQ all have build in battery backup.

I bought a receiver to pair a Centurion D5 motor with thE Digidoor motor. How do i install the Receiver on a Digidoor motor?

Hi there Vusi.
You should have a manual open and close switch on the wall for your Digidoor. You need to find the two wires which control the open and close functions on the Digidoor Trace these back to the Digidoor motor connect these to the Comm and NO terminals. You also need to supply 12V power to the receiver This needs to be connected to the Possitive and Negative terminals on the receiver. These connections originate in the Digidoor motor housing and can be connected right there. Some Digidoor motors have connection terminals for additional remote receivers in the housing. Remember that the minimum connections needed are Positive, Common(Sometimes the common is also the negative supply so you can bridge the common and negative terminals on the receiver) and NO. Then pair the remote with the receiver as per the instructions in the receiver box. If you still cannot come right post pics of the PC boards of your receiver and Digidoor motor and I will identify the connections for you

Digidoor remote

"Another reason is problems with the radio frequency of the remote control system used, some older systems use frequencies that are liable to interference from various sources such as police and fire department radios and military communications. The effects of this interference are many for example, the garage door may open and close on its own or the operating range of your remote control may become so poor you cannot open or close the door with your remote control even whilst standing next to it."

I have a digidoor 2 automatic garage door and it closes in stages not in one motion. The problem started when I stopped the closing motion half way down by remote control to let someone in. Up until then...

It sounds like your obstacle setting might be set too low and the friction of the door is causing the motor to stop. There are two white alan key adjustments on the side of the motor that can be adjusted to change these settings for the up and down sensitivity. If this does not solve your problem contact the Digidoor technical helpline on 2711 4749060, they will be able to assist you.
