Please get the correct model number (one posted here has too many numbers--label is on back of set)

GOOGLE THE MODEL NUMBER WITH THE WORD "LAMP" AND YOU WILL FIND (if available) the lamp and several places selling it.

I have a Sony Wega KP-FX432M91 Prjection TV. I am moving house and I want to know if I can lay the TV flat on it's back to move as it's too tall to stand upright in our vehicle

Please do not lay tv on its back because of its internal design, things are mounted inside vertically and screws are holding them in place. Laying tv on back will put force on screws that might came off or get loose and you will end up with a distorted picture on tv screen.
Move tv in stand upright position, it is safe.
Hope this will help.

We have a Sony KP046WT510 rear projection TV and the picture went to what I describe as what a 3D movie looks like without the glasses. I have tried to adjust the convergeance manually and red and blue...

THIS model uses two of the STK-392-560 CHIPS for this.

Both will have to be replaced and I can tell you best place to buy them and how to do the repair.

Total parts cost will be under 25 dollars from the seller I use on EBAY.

If this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

If I plan to move this TV is there any pre preparation before moving thanks john

Yes there is, and I am glad that you asked. Too many ask for repairs after the move.
First I would unplug the set and allow it to cool down for at least four hours, overnight would be best. I would get some thin foam and wrap it around the front bezel. Then place the largest piece of cardboard that you can find, maybe from an appliance store, and place that over the front screens.
Then shrink wrap the entire unit from top to bottom, and do not allow this unit to lay on its back or sides.

That should help.
If you need any more input.
Please respond to this post.

The Convergence is off and the TV wont allow me to fix it, I tried the flash focus and then the manual but the joystick doesnt move the crosses to align with each other

This model was first made in 2003 and uses two of the STK-392-560 CONVERGENCE IC CHIPS.

Usually just both chips need to be replaced and the set adjusted with the Sony remote---You can buy a pair of the chips on Ebay for less than 14 dollars plus shipping.

If you can do this repair you can save the set and a lot of money as most shops will charge 300 or more for this kind of repair.

I can give you general instructions if you think you can do it---there are places on the internet that sell
kits for this--usually very pricey and many of the included parts are not usually needed.
