Bissell 1425 Little Green Proheat Trigger Problem

A small part in the trigger assembly (spring) is rusted and broken. Bissell does not sell this part to consumers, sad but true. Where do I find this part? I've looked EVERYWHERE on the Internet.
Thank you,
Nigel

Thank you for the answer. I was afraid someone would say that. This part is a small spring that might cost a quarter. I toss this machine before I pay someone $50.00 to fix what I could fix in 10 seconds IF I COULD FIND THE PART.

Until Bissell begins to make parts that are known to be deluged with water out of stainless steel, I'd suggest that others buy something other than Bissell. I've had several of their steam cleaners, and usually it's the cheap plastic parts that break, but to put a steel part in a trigger on handle assembly on a machine that squirts water is nuts.

Thank you kindly for your speedy answer.

    Best,

    Nigel

Well, I looked at essco.com, but it hardly sells parts for steam cleaners. Oh, well, thanx.

Thank you, Veronica. Great suggestion. Unfortunately, my spring was so bad that it broke when I was twisting it, so, again, unfortunately, I need a new spring. Not badly enough to pay $50.00, or probably even more to a service center. A service center isn't needed to fix this simple part. Bissell needs to make these parts out of stainless so that people don't have this problem.
    Thank you again,
    Nigel

I doused the spring with lubricant and twisted it back and forth until it loosened up. I used my husband's Paslode lubricant that he has for his Paslode tools. It's nice and thick and "clingy."

Get Bissell little green pro heat to spray?

These units are known to clog, the water left in from the last use can harden right where the water sprays out. Try using a pin or needle to clean away the harden water. See also if the spay trigger can come apart for a thorough cleaning.

Will not spray

There are a handful of places that the mechanism can get blocked. The easiest test is to remove the brush attachment and pull the trigger. If it sprays fine, then the blockage is in the small length of tubing in the brush attachment. The most likely place is in the small plastic piece at the very end of the attachment. You should be able to see the small plastic piece where the tubing ends, this is a common place for a blockage. You can usually use a piece of thin wire to clear the blockage.
