Question about Philips 37PF7320A 37 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I'm trying to fix a 37PF7320A/37 TV for a friend who says it may have been exposed to overvoltage during a lightning storm while in standbye. I've replaced the small signal board and the lcd supply pannel board which had some burnt up punched through diodes in it. Now the green LED will come on for a moment, followed by a relay click and then protection mode seems to start. I get 2 blinks of the red led which repeat indefinitly. According the service manual blink codes, this could be error #2 (I2C bus 2 blocked) but I'm not sure since the manual say the LED should blink at 3Hz and not 2 blinks. I'm thinking of replacing the audio board next. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Television is not working, screen is black, blinking red led.
Answer Television is probably malfunctioning due to electrostatic discharge. Try resetting the television by unplugging it from the power outlet for 10 seconds.
