Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

I have a Konica Minolta 2550DN.  It has a paper jam in the fuser.  The paper was crumpled up like a fan and when I tried to pull it out from the bottom the paper ripped.  I got some paper out of the top but now there is a thick short wad of crumpled paper in the fuser and I can't reach it or get it out.  I tried to run a piece of cardboard through the printer as a print job and it just stopped because of the jam.  Help me please! Catherine

Konica Minolta 1690MF causing Fuser Paper Jam error when printing color. Does NOT happen when printing black and white. (Paper is genuinely stuck entering the fuser). Why is the problem happening for...

I was wondering if the original poster of this problem found a solution. My printer does the EXACT same thing. B & W printing is perfect. Any color print jams in the fuser. The printer feeds the paper too far (from thin copy paper to cardstock) so that the top of the page is cut off. Konica sent me a new fuser but that did not solve the problem. Again, this only happens when printing any page that has color on it (even a document with only one letter in color). B&W printing is unaffected.

My Konica Minolta 2530DL printer has paper jam ,as i tried to remove paper a part of it tornoaway and got stucked in the fuser roller arear. How can i remove the fuser to get the piece of paper out

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

I strongly recommend a service tech. It sounds like you will need a PM kit, fuser claws and a few DFP rollers.

My Konica Minolta Printer cuts paper

You most likely have a "claw" out of place in the fusing section. These are sharp little spring guided teeth that keep the paper off of the heated roller. If you had a paper jam and pulled the paper out forcefully it can flip these claws out of place, causing it to cut your paper. (or jam more often). To find these claws, follow the heat. They rest on the hottest part of the pressure rollers of the fuser.

Paper jam in fuser

Remove the right hand side cover of the printer, (loosen the two screws, one is at the back).... see the small stepper motor at the top right?
Rotate the white gear teeth connected to it, just visible, DOWNWARDS, ANTI CLOCKWISE, using a blunt screwdriver or something, a few teeth at a time, this will eventually rotate the fuser roller and the paper will come out of the bottom of the fuser.

also, if the paper stuck in FU is straight not crumpled and will come out easily then make sure that the 2 knobs located at top of the FU are in right position.
