Printing too light

Kodak EasyShare 5100 series
Clean the print head then print a demo sheet.
  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Print head Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.
If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the print head:

When printing pictures, they are discolored

You are running low on your color ink cartridge. It cannot mix the primary colors right anymore and the color images start getting a pink-purple tinge to them. Get a new set of cartidges and install them and this should fix the problem fine. Hope this helps.

I have a Kodak easy share printer 6000 paper enters first cycle, paper coming back, printer sounds like roller or something else has a grinding noise or scraping noise and paper comes through for second...

The only model that I see that is a 6000 is the printer dock 6000, the problem you describe
is not a easy fix, unless you can open it up and check all the rollers and check to make sure the paper
is being loaded right. I think the best thing is to go to there site and check your warranty, you should be able to contact them and they might be able to tell you the best way to take care of this problem.

This is there support site below,

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/products/ekn026772.jhtml?pq-path=4547

On the left side of the page you will see that you can chat with them,I do not see a page that list
if they have repair through a repair shop, so the best thing would be to ask them all your questions.
Sorry if I could be of more help. If you do have any more questions please post back as everyone
is more than happy to help you.

Remove and re-seat Printer Cartridge(s) - Done

Clean Printhead - Done

Calibrate Printer - Test Sheet Not Complete!

Run Computer Colour Test - Done

They will then send you a new Print Head.

Prints only pictures and not text

Run the printer maintenance program and clean the printhead. If that doesn't fix the problem, contact Kodak support. If needed, they will exchange the printhead for a new one.

Color ink is TERRIBLE!

I think you are printing on the wrong side of the paper. Try flipping it over when you put it in.

Color is all wrong

Your pictures are coming out with a blue tint. Remove the color catridge and look at the bottom of it. the Yellow is probably green. If it isn't, trying performing a printhead cleaning through your home center. After that, calibrate the printer, you may see that on the calibration sheet, that colors are missing. Scan the calibration page and then try your printing your pictures. If that doesn't work, contact kodak tech support, you need a new printhead.
