Sky + Remote wont change volume or mute after buying a new tv.

try this...press TV on your sky remote now hold select and red button until it flashes tvice,now enter this code....1430...after u enter that code it should blink twice again,now press standby,if it turns your TV off,press select to save these settings, it will also control your TV volume...Let me know if this helps

The correct code (or whether there is a code at all) depends on which version of the Sky remote you are using. The version number of the remote can be found on a sticker inside the battery compartment. If you have "RC1600/00" "Rev 4" or "Rev 6" on the sticker, then it's unlikely that it will work with your TV, but please read on as this isn't always true.

If you have a "Rev 8" remote then it's more likely to work with your TV, however, according to Sky, you will need to buy the new "Rev 9" Sky remote:

If buying one, be sure to check the button for the "Rev 9" version ( £0.85).

The actual code for your TV model is: 0718

I suggest you try the above code regardless of which version of Sky remote you have as Sky's information is not always accurate. You can also try these generic codes for Philips TVs:

0584, 0266, 0065, 0749, 1679, 0199, 0679

Again, try these with whichever version of the Sky remote you are using. There is a good chance that one of them will operate the volume and power functions on your TV. If none of the above codes work, then you will probably need to buy a Rev 9 remote.

You need to tell your Sky Remte, what the TV is otherwise the volume control on the Sky remote will not be recognised.

0246 is the code 1st cover the top of the remote with your hand press TV you can now move your hand, now press and hold select and the red button togeather the remote light will flash twice enter the code 0246 then press select cover top again and press SKY button it should now control your tv

try the volume if this works then press SELECT to save the code. If not then press TV again then the volume. repeat this step until the volume works then press the SELECT button to save the code.

i have the same problem with the codes 0035 0125 0049 everything works except turning the volume up. have you found a solution yet???

Hi Re Easytouch 42" HD TV - look for Hisense - I took a guess and LCD3204 EU code 376 - remote works but buttons don't tally up - getting there slowly!

I don't know if these codes will work but the Hyundai ones we use are code 1272 or 0662.

To put the code in:

Press TV
Press and hold Select & Red until the LED blinks twice
Put in the first code above
press Select

then try the volume buttons, if that doesn't work do exactly the same sequence but try the second code, if neither work let me know and I'll try and find another code for you
