Replace fuser in Dell color laser 1230c

I took out the four screws and lifted the two blue levers and pushed the "slider" on the left side, but it still won't come out. Something is hanging up on the left side. How do you get out the fuser?

the Dell Color Laser 1230c is the same as the Samsung CLX-_____ and I was able to view the service manual online. The quick answer is that you have to remove the right panel to access the cabling so the two cables can be unplugged prior to removing the fuser. The service manual was indispensable for figuring out how to get the right panel removed.

You should contact Dell about returning these for a replacement, it sounds to me like a manufacturer's error.

SOURCE: Dell printer will not print. Receiving message: fuser error

Fuser error usually means that the heater element has blown, or is not functioning properly.
The device will usually lock itself out to prevent any risk of overheating and causing a fire
You will need a technician to fix this

How do I replace the fuser in a dell 1350cnw?

First, Be Careful, the fuser is normally very hot. Unplug the Printer power cord whenever you are opening it up to do anything, except change the toner cartridge.
1 Push the rear cover release handle and open the rear cover.
2 Lift up the fuser release levers (2 blue Handles behind the rear Door)
3 Lift the Fuser up and out.
to re-install, just do the reverse

Hoto fix hp laser color 3600

Open the top cover, lift it up. The fuser is sitting there at the top of the printer right under the cover you just lifted up and then squeeze the two blue fuser-locking levers to release the fuser. The fuser can now be lifted out. Make sure printer is powered off and unplugged. Don't get burned. The fuser can get very hot.

Removal of paper stuck in a dell 3115 fuser?

It's best to remove the fuser to get access to it. This video will show you how to remove it, and which levers to move to release tension in the pinch roller to clear the jam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjyggtF8d1k After you remove the jam make sure to do a close inspection on the internal roller (use a flashlight). You're looking for any scratches or "dents" in the colored roller (sometimes a deep red/brown color sometimes blue) if there are scratches you are probably going to have to replace the fuser. The imperfections on the fuser roller will show up on your printed pages. If you do need a new fuser you can find them for $160, or the entire rebuild maintenance kit for $375 http://www.fastprinters.com/productdetails.asp?PRODUCT_ID=DELL-UG190

Hello, reseat and clean the four toner cartridges, verify the orange plastic covers have been removed, and verify the cartridges are fully locked into place, .This is the procedure:
1. Press the Menu button and press the down arrow until Replace Toner appears, and then press the "ENTER" button.
2. Press the down arrow to choose the appropriate color toner cartridge and press the "ENTER" button.

Note:If the Menu button is inaccessible, begin replacing the toner cartridges with step number 3.

3. Open the front cover.
4. Lift the handle of the appropriate colored toner cartridge and remove the toner cartridge.
5. Gently rock the toner cartridge from side to side.

Note:Rock the toner cartridge over newspaper as there may be some toner leakage.

6. Gently wipe the exterior of the toner cartridge with a dry cloth.
7. Verify the mag roller has been removed.

Note:Grasp the orange strap, peel the tape away from you, and then, with the tape free, pull the blue strap toward you.

8. To reinstall the toner cartridge, align the arrows on the cartridge with the corresponding arrows on the printer, guide the cartridge in until it snaps into place, and then push down the right lever to lock the cartridge in place.

Note:Ensure each cartridge lever is fully pressed down into the locked postion.

9. Close the front cover.
10. Repeat steps 1 through 8 until all toner cartridges have been reseated.
Good luck

I can't get the color cartridges removed to replace them. They all seem to be stuck and Yes, I have lifted the lever up to unlock the cartridges and the color needed to be changed is in front. It all seems...

Mine is pretty stubborn about letting go of the cartridges too. The best answer I can say is DON'T FORCE IT!

For mine, after turning the lever to unlock, I push the whole cartridge to the left slightly, then pull on the right (side with the lever)
If it doesn't let go, try turning the lever to lock it, then unlock it and try again.

I honestly don't know how I get it to release the cartridges, but it's never let one go on my first try, and it's always (eventually) let them go without forcing anything.

Dell laser mfp 1815 dn "scanner locked" message

When you lift the scanner lid look to the left bottom. you should see a green slider button. If you stick your hand in the output tray and get it rigth under the green slider you will find a lever. Move that thing backwards or forwards, that is your unlocker.

Replacing Brother MFC-8440 Fuser

To remove the fuser - remove the tray at the bottom and the back tray (4 screws, 2 either side) lift out the phone line box on the right (looking from the back - 2 screws) and swing it out of the way (careful as cable isn't too long) 2 screws either side of the fuser (long black object at the bottom) unplug the halogen lamp (white plug on left) and small 5 wire plug on right, and lift out fuser unit.

Dell 3100 error 010-397 restart and reseat fuser roll

We had the same problem. I loosened the levers that hold the fuser in place, and the one on the left side (as you face the printer) came out. When I put it back in, it didn't click into place all the way and the error message came up. I pushed down slightly on the fuser, then pushed the lever toward the back of the unit about as hard as I dared until it clicked back into place. That locked the fuser into place properly and resolved the problem.

Printer 1600 JAM

Assuming you cannot lift the rear door and pull out, you will need to remove the back cover (take out the four screws) and take out the fuser module (it has heat temperature warnings on it so let it cool down before handling). The module has two sets of wires on either side that need to be disconnected. Four screws hold the module in place and need to be removed. The paper usually gets stuck in there. After removing the module, you may need to remove the small rear roller from the module by gently prying it up and out after removing four additional screws on the fuser that hold the metal bracket on the fuser in place. Removing these four screws (two on top, two on side) allows you to slide the bracket up and down and more easily access the small roller that needs to be removed so you can get all the paper out (it will likely be accordion-folded and really compressed in there).
