Go into DEVICE MANAGER check your sound driver. if it has a yellow quotation mark next to it , it needs to be replaced, right click on the driver and click re install driver.

Simple solution is to visit manufacturer website and download the specific drivers.
If you are a non-technical user then use Driver scanner tool that will search for drivers online.
