Sounds like the cartridge is not installed correctly.
verify the cartridge is the correct one for the printer
gently removed or snap out cartridge then gently reinstall
until you hear it snap into place.
On my HP printer, the cartridge slot slants towards me I have to slide into place then gently push forward.
Then from your printer or on your computer ask the printer to do an "alignment" and then a test color.
then print a test page

My Canon MF4350d is printing slightly slanted

Check the paper tray if its properly aligned, and ensure you have a high quality paper for printing, and the paper is not damp

Canon i450 uneven printing

The problem could be as simple as your paper not going through the tray straight, or just aligning the print cartridges. Make sure when your paper is pulled through the printer that it isn't getting pulled more quickly on one side than the other. Also, go into your printer control panel to find the 'alignment option' and follow the steps to complete a proper alignment. If that doesn't work, get back to me with more details about the problem. (is it on a slant, are half the sentences printing on a different angle etc.)

My computer isn't printing the way it should. It is a CANNON 1800

Hello michelle9mit,

First of all you will need to clean the surfaces of the DRUM, and paper feed path and assembly. This might be the cause of most of your problems. I would suggest also making sure the paper feed sensors are cleaned and tested for the proper voltage levels. As far as the slanting paper the paper feed mechanism may have to be cleaned and aligned. I would also make the suggestion that if you do not have a mechanical background you should get a professional service center to do the work for you, but first get an estimate on the cost and if it is too much, you may want to consider getting a new printer and getting a maintenance plan for it.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Prints is slanting to left (not line up straight).

Hey, i think this could be a paper alignment problem. Align the paper properly in the tray.

Look at the paper tray and make sure the guides are aligned properly. Most of the time, there's nothing you can do except make sure the paper stack is arranged as evenly and as tightly as possible. I've found about a .05" variation in mine that leaves room for the paper to slant. So much for manufacturing tolerances..
