SOURCE: nail gun will not shoot

Not all 120psi air supplies are the same. Here are some differences. The pressure regulator has a great deal of effect on the performance of the air tool. Regulators are sold by the volume of air (cfm)that they can handle. The more cfm the larger the pipe fittings on the regulator. A 1/4 fitting regulator will restrict the air somewhat compared to a 3/8. Another difference is weather moisture is present in the air. Moisture will temporarily help seal the orings, however too much water in gun will cut the orings. The air hose and fittings will also stifle performance. Long small diameter hose will lower pressure at the gun. This can be measured by installing a guage on a T fitting on the end of the hose and watch the pressure as you fire the gun. Larger fittings and hose ID will improve performance. Finally, your nail gun should work on both compressors. To make your nailgun work at home, (assuming that there are no air leaks) lube the headvalve parts with silicone grease. (sold at lowes in plumbing dept) For best performance, replace the orings in the head valve, examine the plastic parts where the orings contact and look for wear and tiny scratches (use magnify lense). Replace these worn parts along with orings. Replace the head gasket and make sure that the body and the head-cap are not warped. Place sheet of fine sandpaper on flat surface, with cylinder removed rub the body of the gun on paper a few times to check for warp. Do same with cap. Parts are available at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Enjoy

SOURCE: My 1/2" CP air wrench just blows air thru when I pull the trigger

I have ran into this many times, even though you keep it oiled dirt can and will get inside. what you need to do is unscrew the 4 alen head bolts and pull the nose off. You will see a shaft that looks kind of like a crankshaft with 5 or 6 flat carbon fiber plates sitting loosely in groves around the shaft. pull those out and clean them with solvent and check them for damage or wear. clean the inside of the gun with solvent or brake cleaner, reassemble and it should work fine. If the plates need replaced then you should be able to order them from a tool supplier, and they are not that much.

SOURCE: Once trigger is depressed, air leaks and no nail is fired....

Sounds like the trigger o-ring is damaged, either because of not being oiled frequently, or the pneumatic tool has not been used for a while. O-rings will harden up if not used. Look for a place that sells fasteners, or nails and see if they can put a new o-ring in the trigger asm. for you. If you take the gun to a place where you purchase your nails, they should repair for little or no cost. it is an easy repair if you have the tools, parts, etc.

SOURCE: brad nailer not firing nail...can hear brief air noise upon pulling the trigger

Porter cable makes a number of brad nailers (18 gauge) that very quickly suffer from the problem that you are having. You did not mention the model number of your gun but if it is one of these, (bn125a, bn200a, ns100a) kit # 60061 will fix the problem. It costs between 25 and 30 dollars. Google that part number or order from www.dewalt.com. Dewalt owns the porter cable brand. Before you order the kit, check that the driver blade is not bent and stuck. The driver should travel freely down the cylinder. When you install parts, use Danco silicone grease to lube (availabel at Lowes in the plumbing department) If your model # is different from those mentioned above, please email me and I will recommend a repair.

Bostitch just blows air when trigger is pulled

Air leaking from trigger when attempting to fire the gun is normal and should cause nailer to fire, however if the trigger pin is not depressed all the way in,the gun may not respond. Easy test. Remove the nails and remove the trigger. Connect the gun to air and quickly depress the valve pin all the way in with finger. If the gun fires, adjust the safety foot so that the trigger pin is depressed all the way in. If the gun still does not fire, then remove the head cap and pull out the headvalve. Apply plenty of white grease to orings and retest. If the gun fires, then replace the headvalve orings. When the headvalve orings are worn, air will leak from bulkhead chamber to the headvalve chamber causing the gun to not respond to the trigger. The addition of grease to worn orings will make them temporarily seal. Good luck

NEW BRAD NAILER ONCE LOADED WILL NOT WORK

Many modern brad and finish nails use a sequential fire trigger system. You have to push the nose of the tool down to depress the safety THEN pull the trigger. This is the opposite of how a bottom fire works where you hold the trigger and bump the nose to fire the gun.

How to fix my luminess air stylus unsrewed my mistake an now it just keep blowing out air non stop

i did it too...don't feel bad! There's a vidoe on rebuilding your stylus on the Luminesse site which shows all the details. Mine blows air all the time, but now that I took it apart and put it back together, it now blows makeup also when I push the trigger. My needle was in too tightly, and wasn't allowing fluid to come out. Hope that helps!

My furnace stopped working. It'd start up shut down start up shut down all in the matter of seconds. Then would fire up and work. it did this maybe once every couple days then it stopped all together. ...

Replace pressure switch. If you blow any air into the pressure switch it has been damaged, check air ports for debris by looking never ,never blow on air switch they work on a very small pressure or vaccum, where your breath is to much pressure and also loaded with unwanted humidity.

Senco 601 nailer shoots 2 nails each time the trigger is pulled.

the 601 had a design flaw, in the nose, where the nails hit as the are being pushed forward, the peice was made out of a peice of metal that was too soft, it wore down and that is where you get the double nail problem.

Senco offered a trade in, this was years ago, for a limited time and gave us credit towards new guns, which we gladly did

Matco Air Hammer works intermittently ??

Use some wd 40 to clean the gun.Put it in where the air goes in,a lot of it.Put a bunch of it in the gun. Then use some transmision fluid to finalize the cleaning. If this helps the gun, then oil the gun with air tool oil.If this dones not work, then a rebuild would be the next step.

As you pull the trigger slowly the tool cycles several times

It sounds like you have a contact trip trigger that you are trying to operate as a sequential trip. Sequential trip is when you have to put the tool against the work and pull the trigger every time, contact trip is when you pull the trigger and tap the nailer on the work and it fires. If you operate a contact trip like a sequential it will fire but it usually fire more than one nail. Your instruction manual will explain this, sometimes they give you two seperate triggers for the two modes or there is an adjustment on the nailer.

Senco sn2 air leak around out top only when the trigger is pulled

There is a cracked seal on the firing valve. It looks like it cant be replaced but it can. Look in your parts breakdown .It seals the firing valve to the cylinder
