Question about Porter Cable C2002-WKR 150 PSI, 6 Gal. Oil-Free Compressor w/13 Piece Hose & Accessory Kit
I have a porter cable 80 gal 6hp air compressor and the safety valve on top of the pump lets air out before the tank reaches its correct psi. The pressure switch is set to 175, however the safety valve activates at about 150 or even less. How do I fix it?
The maximum pressure on most small compressors is 10 bar or 1000kpa which is about 145 psi in the old language most safety valves are set to 150 psi. I suggest you get some one to reduce the pressure switch setting. Running a compressor at elevated pressures does not give you any more air. A reasonable pressure for small compressors is 120 psi

According to Porter-Cable (Delta) themselves, they had lots of bad regulators on these compressors. I'm waiting for one myself. Same issue
