I THINK THE DRAIN TUBE HAD FROZE, NEEDED TO THAW...(RIGHT?) WELL, IT'S DOING IT AGAIN!! MY QUESTION IS....IS THERE SOME TYPE OF INSULATOR TUBE I CAN PURCHASE FOR THIS PROBLEM?

I have the same issue with my fridge. It is so frustrating to have to pull it all apart and defrost it. The quickest way is to use a hair dryer and pour the heat directly to the ice. The real way to fix it other than to keep doing this, I would love to know the answer. I can't see if there is a drain tube or even where the water is supposed to go if it would defrost properly. What a subpar piece of equipment. I would not suggest this brand to anyone.

I have the same problem.  Had a repairman come by twice and he had to take it apart, use a hair dryer by the fan to defrost the ice that had built around the fan.  He said that I would need to replace the foam under the coils.  Not sure if this would solve anything ...
There is obviously a defect with the fridge.

Sounds like a bad motherboard and probley need control board. You can put in self dianoss. Press all the buttons on panel for 5 seconds. This will start the program. It will check all sensors. Come back with codes and I will help you. Wait to hear from you. I hopes this helps. david_gra582

Temp fluctuates in ge profile refrigerator and freezer

Mine is doing the same, but because we were getting frustrated with the interminted noise and motor we kept switching on and off until we realised the frig did not work at all. The key to our problem was, let the frig do its own thing as we realised it was auto defrosting. After 3 days of meddling with this thing, we thought we killed it. Just leaving it on and forgetting about it, it righted itself, and walla it has not missed a beat since. We even blew up another frig in the mean time because of the predicament we thought we were in with all the produce. Good luck and just let the frig do its own thing.

i think its not the frz drain hole blocking up but a fault with the defrost tray heater. the tray heater should keep the defrosted frost as water to drain away. it sounds as though the tray heater is not working therefore letting the water freeze as it is escaping thorough the drain hole. i would check this out by defrosting the unit and inserting a flexi rod into the otherside of the drain hole (above the compressor usually) and after clearing it if it freezes up again check out the defrost/heater system.

Freezer side cold, frige side warm

Defrost heater is open behind back wall. order new heater #wr55x10101 remove 4 screws 2 bottom, 2 top behind light shield, defrost freezer so ice is off of evap, replace heater with new one.
