SOURCE: Hi I have a l32hdtv10a that

Hi,

NEVER EVER replace a fuse and think that the fuse will blow all by itself. The fuses are there to protect the set from catching on fire.In case there is a short inside the set. Now in some cases an intermittent short can work after you replace the fuse but if its burnt black or brownish, there is a short inside the set in one of the circuits. always use a 100 watt light bulb across a blown fuse if your not sure if there is a short. if there is, the light will absorb the short and glow bright. if there is no short the bulb will glow bright , then go down very dim. you could have a main power supply problem, such as shorted bridge rectifiers, shorted main b+ capacitor, Hot could be shorted, or the Vertical or audio output IC could be shorted.

If you have experience in repairing electronics, you could take a help from a service manual to find the values of different components to make sure that they are not out of order. You could buy the service manual from :-

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Which one is the main power fuse in a vizio 42

The main power fuse is not to far from where the power connector plugs into the power board. If this fuse is constantly blowing, you have a dead short on your power supply board.

Screen went black/won't power on

This is a common problem

The first step is to check the fuse on the power supply board. Next, disconnect the inverter board to eliminate the possibility of it shorting down the main and or power boards. Be careful as the inverter board supplies high voltage to the cold cathode tubes (backlights) and it bites HARD. If you disconnect the inverter and the power led comes up then replace the inverter board. (The screen will appear blank because you have no backlighting). If the power indicator still fails to light you need to suspect the main board first before the powwer supply board. The main board tells the power supply board to come on. You need to check the trigger from the main board to the relays on the power supply board. Also check the power connector to the main board because you should see +12V and/or +5V on at least some of the pins. If no power on the relay triggers then replace logic board. Then replace Power supply board last. Or buy a new monitor!!

When turn on it blows the fuse

There must be a diode that is faulty in the power supply section mainly on of the rectifying diodes.
If you look closely at your board you will see four diodes that just after the fuse and befroe the Big capaictor(filter cap.) One of these four diodes must be faulty as the fuse keeps blowing. the diodes are responsible of current limitation drawback. So there must be current flowing back to the fuse that makes it keep blowing.
Check and replace. Good luck

Where do I plug in the power swtch into the motherboard

Hello,

I'm taking a look at a picture of your board now, behind the RAM
(If the Ram sticks are going horizontally and are closest to you and on the right '-----------------' the section that's next to the edge of the board behind the RAM)
There are four rectangles, two for IDE connections, one for for a Floppy (these all have pins sticking out) and there one rectangle that's slightly bigger with two rows of female inputs. (24 holes if you want to count to be sure). Then plug the P1 connector from your power supply and line it up (it only fits one way, you'll be able to be able to tell by the curved plastic "pins".) The following is a picture of a P1 connector if you're not sure: http://georgelowen.com/aplus/Review%20Page/p1_pwr.jpg
There's a chance you have a power supply that is AT compatible so the P1 connector will be split into two. One has twenty pegs and the other has four, the one with four should have little clips to help connect the extra four to the first twenty (their wires will be next to each other.) again use the curves to align the pegs or "pins". Be sure all 24 holes are filled and you line up the plug correctly before putting to much force on it (it does take a little bit of a shove on a fresh board.) there shouldn't be any open holes. That's for the boards main power, you'll probably also need to plug in power to your processor using another four peg connector labeled P4. Those are the two main power connections to the motherboard from the power supply. I hope this helps and thank you.

I have a LG 37lc2d and it suddenly turn off and wont come back on, the stand by lights doesnt turn on either. i was wondering if its just the power supply? or how can i troubleshoot this my self to see...

There is a fuse on the power supply close to where the A/C is connected to the board. If the fuse is blown, look at the board and see if there are any burned components and or swollen capacitors. If there are bad components, I would suggest getting a new board.
If the board looks OK, disconnect the connectors from the board but leave in the A/C connector (this way you can isolate the power supply board), replace the fuse, and power up the TV.
If the fuse pops after the power is applied to the unit, then the power supply is bad.
If the fuse is still good, then power off the TV, connect on the main board’s connections, and power up the TV.
If the fuse is still good, then power off the TV, connect the inverters, and power up the TV.
If the fuse blows now, then the inverters and or the panel are bad.
A working power supply will create 5vdc for the main board’s stand by source voltage. This can be found on the power supply at the main board’s connector and it is labeled in black text.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck.

Hi i changed colour cartridge tried trial run printer died; changed fuse in plug; still no power any suggestions please

in the printer there is a power supply board.there is a same type of 3amp fuse on the power supply board.if there is any kind of overheating in the power then the fuse in the plug and fuse on the power supply board blows out.in some cases only fuse on power supply board blows out.this fuse is placed on the board for safety reasons.because in the older model printers when this short circuit problem was happening at that time whole board used to blow out.so in the new model of printer a fuse is placed on the board ,so if any overheating or any power outage or any short circuit occurs.the fuse blows out instead of whole power supply board. You just need to replace the fuse on the power supply board by disassembling the printer.the power supply board is the green color square shaped board.its the board to which your power wire of printer is connected. the fuse is available at any local electric hardware shop.its not any special kind of fuse. This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Panasonic plasma hdtv will not power on--no blinking LED, simply no LED. Other objects plugged into same surge protector are fine; no evidence or suggestion of a power surge.

The power supply board itself maybe the main problem inside the TV. Or, it maybe something simple like a blown fuse. Replacement fuses can be found at Radio Shack or some other electronic supply store.
If it turns out the TV keeps blowing fuses, the main power supply may need to be replaced. You can find replacements at a good price at Shopjimmy.com
