To change the price for an item with a bar code. How do I go about it?rice

Use the program codes to enter the programming mode for barcoding. Once you scan the the product, the register will ask you for a new price which will be saved. You will need the programming manual to get the codes for your model. One of the users has most of them here:

If you have raised keys on your keyboard, then you change the department programming, so go to the department programming section of the manual and edit the department name and department price (if you use fixed prices). If you have a flat keyboard with a paper sheet under it, you will have PLUs on the keyboard, so you need to use the PLU name and price programming section. If you have lost your manual, most can be found at C-tech:http://the-checkout-tech.com/

XE-A203 SAID 'OVER LIMIT

Each department in the register can be programed with a maximum price. Sharp calls it a HALO, for High Amount Lock-Out, and it prevents those silly mistakes like a cashier once made for me when my burger and shake came out to over $500.00.
If you're entering a reasonable price, but the register complains that it is OVER LIMIT, you need to program a higher HALO for that department. Look for the department programming in the manual.

What does inh.unit pr mean

INH. UNIT PR. means "Inhibit unit price". It means there is no price preprogramed for that department or PLU. Each department can be left open-priced, or preset. Open price is how you usually think of using a cash register: you enter a price, then touch the button. Preset price requires programing a price for a department in advance, but saves time in operation. You touch the Coffee button, for instance, and it automatically rings up the price you've set for a cup of coffee.
If you touch a normal, non-preset department without entering the price first, the register will error with the INH. UNIT PR message.
Touch the CLear key, enter the price, then touch the department.
Many of the Sharp registers, and I think the XE-A402 is one, allow a department to be both open and preset. It can also be programed to be inhibited completely.
The Owners Manual can be downloaded from Sharp here.

You have the department set as a SINGLE ITEM department. This is address N2 in the department programming sections of the manual. Change this value to 0 instead of one and you will be set.

You are still in the keyboard programming. it is after that section. It should have a heading called machine features programming. Once you find that, go through the tables in that section. If you still have trouble, I'll borrow a book and work through it with you. remember, they expect the dealer to program it for you, so they don't give you any help in these manuals, you have to find the section you need.<!-- from fixya rte -->

How do I program extra departments into a Casio TK - T200. I need 22 Dept Keys

The TK-T200 comes with 30 Flat PLU buttons. These can be set to open price if you want to use them as departments. To remove the fixed price, Turn key to program mode 0 now press the PLU button you want to change SUBTOTAL
Now you will need to enter a price (no decimal point) each time you use it in REG mode.
If this is not suitable, please let me know more information about your needs.
