Question about Kenmore 62822 Electric Dryer
I have a Kenmore Elite electric dryer, model no. 110.60932990. I am beginning to understand that "Elite" is a code word for "lemon." If I turn the heat selector to any setting (including "air fluff") it runs hot, seemingly at the same temperature. I understand that 110 volts runs constantly to the heating element, but it does not get hot until you put it on a setting and hit the start button. I have tried cleaning the air vent (even taking the hose loose), replacing the thermistor and pulling my hair--nothing seems to work!
Can anyone help me; I can't afford a service call until my economic stimulance package comes. Thanks.
You may have a bad thermostat.
You could take a chance and replace it and save a service call, but without trouble shooting skills, it's a guess as to what could be wrong.
