if its a model with an conventional mechanic/electric program clock you must look if you can hear the program clock is working, and if it is then i think a auto stop in a short worn carbon brush that can be activated to protect the armature for damage of the outcoming spring from behind the brush cannot come between one of the brushholder and commutator. if the programclock is not run then push out the power off and set the clock to pumping draining of the machine thats an other function the function of the pump, if your machineis a budged machine between 4 and 7 years , do not repair but in most cases marketing technical you come from one problem into the next in a short time, replace the machine is the best option.
Undo the black plastic caps, one on each side. You probably need new carbon brushes. Remove them carefully and note that the brushes will only fit one way there is a blocking stop on the inner edge of the brush holder, you can see it with a torch when brush is out. Line the chamfered off corner of the new carbon brush up with the blocking stop. On one side it is at the back at the top and the other at the back at the bottom ( I think )
??? not enough information, what do you mean by this? the clothes are still wet when they come out the machine does not spin at all? the machines have a set time to drain before they spin usually three minutes if the water has not dropped below a level before the set time the machine will stop, check the drain Clothes begin to get wetter than before? how old is the machine motor brushes usually last 2-3 years depending on usage when they wear down the parts of the program that put the most power through the brushes can fail first (Spin)
i remember click is the motor relay engaging.
reason for no rotation may be the motor brushes.
take back panel off, disconnect motor elec plug, undo fixing bolts and withdraw motor and you can then check brushes. also check condition of commutator - series of copper segments brushes run on
had to call an enginer out, the problem was down to a faulty motor rota, to identify if e30 is this fault, rotate the drum (so the motor rotates) and try to start the m/c. if it runs ok you know to change the rota. hope this may help someone
when u changed the carbon brushes did u move the little metal pin to free the carbon off it must be able to come out then in with ease if not do this if u did then if the carbon brushes have got too low then it will have more then likely damage your motor m8
