Question about Fisher and Paykel Dishwashers
Four of the five lights flash and the pump continues to run if I try to open the door at this time it throws my house power out
Please clarify model of dishwasher. It is likely the motor compartment has flooded and it is shorting the power system. Turn off mains power to dishwasher to avoid damage to dishwasher. The source of flooding has to be found.

F1 is a flood code meaning excessive amounts of water have collected on the bottom catch basin.
If a flood condition is detected, both draws will activate the drain motors and flash F1.
Remove the bottom drawer by pulling the lock pins on each lower side corner. Slide down and remove front cover. Release the drawer slide clips and remove drawer then dry the catch basin.
There are three possible scenarios for this error code;
1. Defective lid motor(s)...Each drawer has two lid motors, attached to the cabinet on either side of the drawer, that pull the lid tight to the drawer when the cycle is started. (this was very common on early models)
2. Something too tall was placed in the drawer preventing the lid from closing completely.
3. (only seen this once) the drain hose developed a crack causing water to leak only when draining.

Hi there ....this condition is ususally caused by a water leak into the sump of the dishwasher which activates a safety switch to run the drain pump..preventing the appliance from being used....Remedy...tip the dishwasher back in the head allowing excess water to exit from the sump...then with the door open check that the air vent lock ring is secure, thet the salt unit retaining ring is secure..and finally that the filter unit to base screws are secure...this done re-start and you should b fine

holding the button for four seconds will not do it, you have to hold it until the light stops blinking and
will go back to normal, normall takes more than four seconds to unlock the unit, this is something
the sears repair techs know becouse the are trained on all this things but, they will not share this things, becouse thats how they make money

SOURCE: Dishwasher pump keeps running
This is caused by a water leak into the base pan,it will trigger the anti flood and the machine will continously drain out even with the door open,you need to establish what is leaking,if you leave the appliance standing for a few days it will start again as the water will evaporate however if the fault returns you will definetly have aleak on the appliance which will require further investigation.

I appreciate your post, kris!
From what you have explained your Electrolux dishwasher is beeping three times every four to five seconds. This could be a possible issue with your control panel. It may need to be replaced and this may not be a simple DIY job. If you need assistance locating a professional I would recommend reviewing your manufacturer's website for help. I hope this information is helpful for you. -Matt
