HP 5610 will not feed paper

Paper will not feed into printer. When I try to print or copy, I get the message: Printer is out of paper. It is not out of paper, the paper is in the input tray, pushed in as far as possible and touching the paper guide on the left hand side of the input tray.

SOURCE: ADF document feed

Hi, The problem seems to be a piece of debris , paper stuck in the ADF roller assy. You can check this by opening up the adf cover and inspecting the paper path. I have seen where a very small peice can cause paper path problems to where something is blocking the paper> Good Luck!

SOURCE: hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

SOURCE: hp scanjet will not copy to print

FROM HP, searched and found after three or four weeks of unresolved solutions .. and that's fixed the problem !!

Solution Follow the steps below:

  1. Click Start , then Printers and Faxes .
  2. Right-click the system default printer and click Properties .
  3. On the General tab, right-click the default printer and click Copy .
  4. Click Cancel to exit.
  5. Click Start and then click Run .
  6. In the Run dialog box, type regedit and click OK . WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Hewlett-Packard cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of the Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the Registry before you edit it. For information about how to edit the Registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" help topics in Regedit32.exe.
  7. In the Registry Editor window, click Edit , then click Find... , and search for the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hewlett-Packard\DigitalImaging\hpfccopy .
  8. Double-click Printer in the right pane.
  9. In the Edit String window, paste the printer name as it appears in the Registry under Value data (for example, hp photosmart 8400 series) .
  10. Click OK and close the Registry Editor.
  11. Press Copy on the scanner. The default printer connected to the system should normally print the scanned document.
Cause This issue occurs when the default printer or the list of printers is not recognized on the hpfccopy function in the Current User section of the Registry.

SOURCE: Printer will not print

I had the same problem and to fix it there was a blue tray I had to pull out (the tray for the photopaper). Once it was pulled out so it was about flush with grey part beside it, the printer worked again. (The photopaper tray is just above where you put the regular paper.)

Try the basic troubleshooting. first, restart your printer and run a test print to check if the problem is solved. second, try printing other word or any document. if it doesn't work third, try reinstalling the software drivers for your printer.

HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One continuous paper jam,

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

My HP 5610 3-in-one won't draw the paper from the feed tray

YOu will have to replace the feed rollers. They can get smooth to the point that no matter what you do they wont feed.
Here is the phone number to order them. You will need the model number and they can look up what you need.
