How do I format my computer or at least remove unwanted programs

To remove unwanted programs in Windows:
1) Open Control Panel. (How to do that depends on what version of Windows you have. Google it.)
2) Open the "Programs and Features" item.
3) Wait a while (30 seconds?) for your computer to build the list of programs.
4) Find a program you don't want in the list.
5) Double-click on the unwanted program.
6) Depending on the program, it may just uninstall, or it may ask you to confirm uninstallation or walk you through an uninstallation process.
7) Return to step 4 until you can't find any programs you don't want.

Uninstall chrome

Go to Control Panel if using Windows. Click on to Programs, then Programs and Features, then Uninstall a Program.
Wait for the list to take shape, and you should see 'Google Chrome' a little down the alphabetical list.
Highlight it by clicking once on it. Then right click on it and you should see 'Uninstall' Click on that then follow instructions.
It's Google Chrome you need to look for, not just 'Chrome'.
But take it slowly and easily. Make sure you're uninstalling what you want to uninstall.
Hope this helps.

Chrome is not shiney and won't uninstall or install

You can remove Google Chrome like any other Windows program. Follow these steps: Click the Start menu on your computer taskbar.
Select All Programs.
Select Google Chrome.
Select Uninstall Google Chrome.
Click the Yes button in the confirmation dialog box.

The uninstall process will begin and all your Google Chrome browser and application shortcuts will also be removed.
Alternatively, you can double-click Add or Remove programs in Window XP's Control Panel or Programs and Features in Windows Vista, select Google Chrome in the list, and click the Remove button.

Google Chrome leaves behind your profile information in case you wish to reinstall in the future. To delete this information, go to \Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome in Windows XP or \Documents and Settings\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome in Windows Vista.
