Problem with IP phone Nortel 1120E

I need some help, I got an IP phone and it has 2 lines of intercom I don't know why but one of them appears to be used but it's not. I have tried reseting the phone but it didn't work out. Please if anyone can help it's urgent

Try to reset the bandwith of the phone by using the nortel software.

1120e phones keep rebooting

The phone's configuration is likely corrupt and it will need to be reset to factory defaults and reprogrammed.

To stop the reboot cycle, try this:

- Connect the phone to POE (Power Over Ethernet) injector, but do not plug in a data cable into the injector.

- When the message "Cable Unplugged" appears on the screen, connect a data cable to the POE injector.

The phone should return to an online state.

I have a nortel 1120e but I have a problem. When I make a call I can not hear the other person but they can hear me my. How can I fix it?

I'm not familiar with this particular phone, but our Nortel system phones sometime act up. The trouble is almost always the cord or handset, especially if the phone is wall-mounted and the handset has taken a dive or two to the floor. On rare occasions we've had a phone go bad, but not often.

Try another cord first, then swap handsets with another phone if you can. That will probably solve the trouble.

Display does not lights up when connected on ethernet cable, PC is ok thnx

i found the solution,
the ethernet cable was able to transmit IP traffic,
but not POE, may be one of the 8 wires was defective
it's ok now with a new cable,
connected on a POE port on the switch

Try using 26567*738 as the default password for the 1120E and 1140E IP phones.

Missing contact in Nortel 1120E

It depends on what system it connected to. On my BCM450 voicemail must be set up by that individual to see their name in the directory.
