Washer working just the drum is unbalancd, want to know how to repair problem. Thanks
If the drum is unbalanced it will WOBBLE and cause the machine to move around. Now the first thing to check is if there is damage on the chassis due to transport or rust. if so this can be hard as the frame would have changed in the alignment.
Secondly the holding springs , the mounting brackets and the shock absorbers must be alignment with the right position so as to hold the DRUM in central position. If not the changes to the mount must be tinkered to correct the position.

If your trans and coupler are good then I would suspect the drive block or spin tube. You will have to remove the trans to change out the spin tube. Take out the basket, there should be 2 ears from the spin tube that nest in the drive block. Attached is a photo to help you understand. Before all this make sure nothing is caught between the basket and the tub. Catriver

I've had the same problem...you can purchase a replacement lid switch at your local appliance parts store for about $35. Fortunatly, the sales person at the appliance store had diagrams and provided instructions to replace the switch. I was able to finish the job and fix the switch in less than 1 hour. Good Luck.
Hi, You can change the pump by disconnecting power, water fill hoses, & take drain hose out od drain. Lay the washer on its back (use some padding under machine so that you do not damage threads on inlet valve. The pump is located on motor and has two clamps holding it. Just remove those clamps and the two drain hoses from the pump. The pump should release from the motor shaft. If the motor shaft is rusty, the pump might not want to come off ease and the shaft will need to be cleaned with sand paper or emery cloth so the new pump will go on easy. Failure to get the pump on all the way will cause the new pump to leak also.
Put your hoses back on the pump and everything should be ok.
I hope this helps you some.

Your drum is going unbalanced with the load.
Either you do have an unbalanced load but more likely is that the dampers on the underside of the drum have failed. (they are like shock absorbers).
Normally there are springs at the top the suspend the drum and on the underside there are dampers.
There normally are 2 dampers attached to the drum and the frame.
They are accessed by tipping the machine onto its side.
However the machine is heavy and make sure you disconnect power and water if you want to investigate.
Cost of new dampers are around 50 each.
