SOURCE: Machine slows down, stops, starts again. Foot control problem?

Yes it does sound like a faulty foot control. The power cord is probably fine, you just need the controller. Ebay is a good source for parts.

I have a brother sewing machine Lx25 and I seem to have lost the pedal and power cord during my move. Can i buy any brother pedal or does it have to be for the lx25 only? Thank you

Parts are available on in the US. I think yours is a UK model (230 v). Cords/foot controllers are definitely available. Many are interchangeable with othe manufacturers. Just make sure the 3-pin connectors are the same.

Check ebay as well. Should be 35 to 50 dollars new.
