If you are not using any hydraulic fluid perhaps you are looking for the wrong kind of fluid leak. I would check for diesel or swing motor leaks.

The seal units at the turn table are worn or there are grooves worn around the sealing ring.. It is common for this area that is subject to such movement in the worst possible conditions of dust and other contaminents

I have a 345 OMC mustang skid steer. deutz 2cyl diesel engine it is leaking hyd oil from under bottom of machine not on rims or tires what could be leaking

Not a CAR...

Skid Steers... like yours: we call bob-cats here (USA)...

EASIEST & most common are cracked & loose hoses.

You have a serious hydraulic pump & piston system on all the configurations I've been able to pull.

Any damaged SEAL EVERYWHERE in that circuit
is going to be hydraulic oil...

Crank-case, transmission case... (etc.).

What you are going to have to do is pressure clean the wettest areas... wipe them down... and make your EYES & BRAIN take a look around for the most severe leak...

Fix it... and repeat the process until you
have things nice, tight and dry...

What's the best way to change a hydraulic line when it's behind other lines, (hard to get to )? How do I test to make sure which line is leaking?

Anon, clean/spay degreaser on all lines to remove hyd. fluid and wipe all the lines done to dry them, this will enable you to see which line is leaking. Now that you will be able to spot leak, you will be able to tighten or replace line with a wrench.

If your hydraulics and trans are one using the same oil then use ATF oil, if your hydraulics is a separate tank then you can use a hydraulic oil, ATF, or a light weight oil

4496 CASE TRACTOR .Ran out of hydraulic oil , filled up and bleed lines , still have no steering and the brake is out ,.What valve is locked in ?

by bleeding lines where exactly did u do this ? , the place id try 1st is right off the pump to the dist block (carefully!!!) if no pressure there then a more aggressive repurdge of hyd sys is needed using another machines hyd system connected to remotes inputs off the dist block
reason 4 this is that hyd oil pumps don't just pick up oil again when run dry an have to be helped to pressure up again , Also another possible cause is that pressure relief is stuck open , this doesn't allow any pressure to build up

Replace cylinder in bottom boom on hiranger bucket truck

ive heard of folks doing it without a crane but i would not try it , alignment is too critical with getting guides and stops back in and with nothing to move boom that would be too difficult

anyways: suspend boom end with double straps from crane , disconnect hydraulic/electric swivels/plugs at truck end lift end of boom slightly with boom all the way extended straight out , remove acess panel (both sides) at jct of upper/lower boom section . remove C clip one side drive out pin oppisite side (wiggle boom to clear pin) locate stops in lower section boom end unbolt , slowly pull upper boom with crane away take care of hydraulic lines and electric wires set on floor on wood cribbing , locate bottom of cylinder truck end find C clip and pin Might be behind a trim cover that might need to be remove drive out pin also remove bottom cylinder hyd hose connect crane to cylinder end move out a foot or so remove top cyliinder hydraulic hose then carefully slide out cylinider with crane , Note if your valves are not tight and new oil will leak back and cause boom base to sag when you unhook hydraulic hoses , your gonna need to block this up with wood cribbing just in case

reverse removal process to install new one , also i would not just install a new seal (you can) with out having cylinder recromed I'll bet it's rusty thats what tears the seals up
and allways replace entire oil volume in hydraulics your old seal is in old oil not good for the new one

Hydraulic schematics

Sorry but it will be the cylinder. The oil is leaking around the worn seals on the ram or past score marks on the cylinder bore. It goes up because the pump generates more flow than the leak. It the relief valve was faulty it would not go up but by pass back to the tank.
