It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Check this link to replace the inlet valve:

Possible that the HUM is due to inlet valve humming

SOURCE: Washing machine stopped midcycle

It seems like the engine of the washing machine has burned out. If you are still in your warrenty period (and you used the machine conform operating instructions) you can contact the store you bought it from and ask for a replacement or repair. Otherwise you'll have to ask a repair man to come but these can be quite expensive.

Something large in the drain pump could be the problem. You might need to remove it and take a look inside.

SOURCE: Washer stopped at begin of wash cycle

The problem seems to lie in the rubber backed mat. If the rubber has begun to peel of the mat it often-times get stuck in the drain pump. The best thing to do at this point is to disconnect the electrical cord, open up the machine, drain out the water as best as possible disconnect the power cord to the drain and the hoses. Clean out the drain pump. reassemble. You should be good to go., Unless the drain pump is burned out (left running plugged up too long) if thats the case, replacement of the pump may be neccessary.... Hope this helps...Good luck!.... SOURCE: Hi My maytag centennial commercial

Hi

First of all please use less load then you are using right now. If still it is not agitating then it seems that something is stuck and you'll have to remove the agitator to clean it. Also check if the door is getting locked. If the door lock-switch assembly is bad the control won't detect that the door is closed and so will not spin. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have a whirlpool ultim as text care heavy duty super capacity plus washing machine. Will only go through one cycle..will stop and hum. What could be wrong?

if it stops at the beginning of the wash cycle , it could be a failed start/run capacitor for the motor
if it hums at the start of a rinse cycle it could be a problem water control solenoid
Humming in a machine is a frequency vibration caused when something that is supposed to move is not allowed to and the resultant frequency sets up a vibration in the unit
if under warranty , get in a technician for a warranty fix ---if not get in a technician to check it out and get a quote for repairs

Bosch wft 2830

Its hard to say what your problem is without more information.
If you had a lot of vibration and water from a broken hose, you may have shorted one of the sensing units or main board.

Try to clear the program by disconnecting power and holding down the start key for a few seconds. Similar to Clearing the CMOS on a desktop computer.
Hope this helps

If you have a wet-dry vac, put it on the end of the drain hose and **** it out. There may be something blocking the line that you can't see.

Its a halo reach game.. it will play all the introductions..but will not allow the game to appear to play..we have cleaned the game well and has no scratches on it..what can we do

If your disk is unreadable, skipping, or is slow in playback, it may just be be dirty. Even if your disk has a few scratches, a little bit of cleaning may be all it takes to make it good as new.

Required tools:
  • Microfiber Cloth
  • 85% Rubbing Alcohol

Process:
(1) Get a nice clean cloth, preferably a micro fiber cloth. Silk should also work fine. Avoid using a Kleenex, paper towel, or cotton cloth, as it may scratch your disk. Micro fiber clothes are available at most grocery stores, but if you can't find one, pick one up at any place that sells glasses.

Rubbing alcohol can be obtained at any pharmacy and 75% should still work fine. The higher concentration does work a little better, but the difference isn't substantial. Don't substitute rubbing alcohol with Windex or other solvents, as they may damage the reflective coating on the disk.

(2) Wet the cloth at one edge with rubbing alcohol. This is best achieved by plugging up one end of the alcohol bottle with a part of the cloth, flipping the bottle over, and letting the cloth soak for a bit before flipping it back over. If done properly there, shouldn't be much alcohol spilled.

(3) Hold the disk firmly in one hand in-between your thumb and middle finger. Use the thumb of your other hand to apply pressure though the wet area of the cloth to the disk and move the cloth in and out from the center of the disk to the edge and back again. Use the index finger of the hand you are holding the disc with to support the non data side so you can apply more pressure. It may take a few tries to find a comfortable position. Continue to work the wet cloth out from the center of the disk toward the edges until you're satisfied, or until you find a spot you can't seem to get.

If you find a particularly bad spot that has a lot of dirt or grime that you just can't seem get, try getting it wet by re-wetting the cloth and allowing the area to absorb the alcohol. If that still doesn't help, apply more pressure by using the tip of your thumb or your nail on the cloth when you're rubbing the area. Be careful when using your nail as, you may cut through the fibers of the cloth and end up scratching the disk. You should never touch the data side of the disk with anything except the micro fiber cloth.

(4) Once you've finished with the wet part of the cloth, use the dry part of it. Again, use your thumb to work the cloth in and out from the center to the disk to the edge. This is mostly cosmetic and you can skip this step.

(5) Allow the disk to dry for one to two minutes and you should be done.
