Venturer PVS7287 Twin Mobile DVD Player 8" LDC Screens - I was getting a blue screen with the DVD not loading. I could see the ribbon cable was just slightly off from the side of the optic eye board. I gently pushed it back on with the tip of a screwdriver. I didn't have to take the player apart, as you you can see the optic eye and the cable that attaches to it when the door is open and the DVD removed. Be careful with the ribbon cable, it is very thin.
there is a safety brake wire that needs to be hooked up. If it was installed professionally, have them explain it to you. There is not supposed to be any video players in view of the driver while in motion. Stop your car and put on the parking brake. If you installed it yourself, you probably didnt hook up the wire. Look inthe install manual for DVD safety wire.
There is no e-brake override code. You have to hardwire it to bypass the e-brake. Take the peach-colored wire and ground it to metal inside the dash. Put a toggle switch inline on the wire and mount it somewhere you can reach it. When you get the blue screen when starting a movie, open the switch for 3-5 seconds, then close it again to reapply the ground. Your movie will start up, and you can then drive away with it playing.
I opened up the dvd player & determined that the dvd was not spinning or took too long to start spinning, so the reader stopped. It looks like the arm that holds the dvd against the motor mount that turns it does not have enough strength to push against the dvd so that the motor mount does not spin without making the dvd spin with it.
For now, I'm using a small wooden prod inserted into the dvd slot to gently nudge the dvd to get it spinning. When the time comes that that doesn't work, I'll try to adjust the arm, but that's a last resort before I buy a new player.
hi, i just bypassed my 9411 by doing the following. put dvd in the player wait until it loads, then push the stop button 2 times on the remote push 1264, on the right button push it twice down and in once...this should take you to the system setting there you want to turn off the brake overide on..push the left button once or just wait for the screen to return to the movie....I hope this works as good as it did for me...let me know.....later
