'Strobing' on finished DVD

Hi there, im hoping that someone is able to give us a bit of guidance as our IT guy is doing his best to look busy and not helping us. We've burnt a dvd, with a menu, and when it's played on a DVD player, people's movements are all jerky/strobing. We've tried a number of possible solutions ie, changing the quality, burning as an ISO disc image before burning to a DVD-R but nothing seems to have worked, it's still strobing. HELP! Coz our IT guy is a bit of a fool and seems not very willing to give us help. Many Thanks Amy.

Re: 'Strobing' on finished DVD

Amy, We would need a few more details about your video in question. Origional movie filetype, method of encoding, software used to burn, capture card used to create file etc. I do know for sure that making an ISO instead of a burning the folders or video files as a data/video DVD really doesn't do anything to help you with this problem. Also are you burning a traditional DVD or like many new players will play divx, xvideo, and windows media files. All of which could be burnt to a CD or DVD, and I have seen many files act similar to what your describing. Basically try to encode the video with another program and check to make sure you are using the appropriate frames per second. Here's a link to a free encoder that really works great for me. O yea if you are trying to copy a vhs to dvd or a dvd without ripping the dvd you will get uneven audio, and video problems its called MACROVISION. good luck, Hack

The authorization code comes with the software when you purchase it. Contact your seller if you did not receive it. You cannot use the software without it.

Hi, Im using Adobe Premiere Elements 9 (Trial Version) only because Im not sure its the right software to use or like. Im wanting to create own DVD from MOV files which my canon video cam uses. So...

There may be a couple of things that have gone wrong there. I would say it can be the codecs you have installed on your machine (though this is very unlikely, you might want to install K-Lite Codec Pack just to make sure if you don't have it already -, the computer may not be powerful enough to process the video to a higher quality (make sure you have at least a 2GHz processor and 2GB of RAM), the settings can be different from the video recorded with your Canon video and the settings in your Adobe Premiere Elements (PAL/NTSC, resolution, frame rate etc), have a look in Preferences and make sure they match. Hope this helps.

Downgrading from Vista Business to XP Pro

Why dont you give Windows 7 a whirl. Im running it and so far i like it better than xp and it stomps vista into the ground.

If your wanting to downgrade to Windows XP pro, Your going to need to reformat the PC. Simply put the media in the drive restart the computer and boot off the CD-Rom and follow the simple instructions.

Problem to retrieve second disk out of three.

This looks like a damaged disk problem to me, possibly caused by removing the disk before it was finished writing contents to the disk; FYI, DVDs take quite a while to finish writing their contents (compared to CDs they seem very slow but their data-handling capacity is far greater).

You may need to re-create your 3-DVD set again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I would also recommend not giving your personal information out, even though tech-heads are notoriously honest and unlikely to violate your privacy since we are so busy with our many intellectual pursuits. Still you never know who's lurking out there on the 'net.

Incredimail xe

I fixed it! Go to the Programs & features in control panel (in Vista), XP users go to Install/Uninstall programs. Highlight Incredimail & click on Uninstall, A dialogue box will appear that gives you the option to uninstall or repair. Click on repair and wait for Incredimal to finish repairing. Incredimail should now work.

Good Luck.

Flash Effects

If you want to make without animation, use photoshop, you can find the tutorial here:
or (the same content)

For animation, you can choose 2 shoftware:
1. Flash
see the tutorial here:

2. Swishmax
see the tutorial here:

These are my favourite softwares. Maybe flash is the most complicated, but I think, if you can manage, it gives the best animation.
