Question about Vulcan EF3 Deep Fryer

1 Answer

My deep fryer is working but once or twice a day the door of the fryer will suddenly open with a thud! Scaring all in the kitchen. If we keep the door open then the problem goes away to some extent. Lot of soot on the floor of this propane deep fryer cabinet and walls. Any tip to fix the problem? Thanks.

It is advisable to get a qualified technician to clean the burners, pilot, and insure there is proper gas pressure and volume to the unit. Without verified gas pressure and volume, even with clean burners the problem may recur.

SOURCE: we have a 2grs45 Vulcan

You need to Order a conversion jet or set of Jets , if more than one from the Manufacturer of the
Deep Fat Fryer, or from your local Retailer.
Just ask for an L.P.G. Conversion Kit for the model of Fryer you have.
The ofirice in the conversion Jets will have been cut to suit the type of Gas you intend using
and so all you should have to do is change the Jet/s.

What is the standard way to empty the oil from the fryer

You should have a screw on drain valve that screws into the opening under the fryer, inside the door.. Once you have the drain valve screwed on, then open the valve and it will drain into whatever you set in front of it... If you need to order a drain valve, they are not expensive... I can get you a price if you need one... Susan @ Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cinc, OH reocincinnati@yahoo.com or call me at 888-542-5959... I will need model number also.

Hello, my Breville deep fryer has suddenly powered off because I moved it. What is the matter, please?

Some deep fryers have a magnetic quick release on the power cord. First, check to see if the power cord is securely fastened at the wall and at the base of the fryer.
Safety features of deep fryers include auto shut-off when oil overflows or reaches a certain vertical point in the fryer, or if there is too much or not enough oil. Drain the entire fryer and slowly refill it to the maximum fill line.
Some outlets, especially in bathroom and kitchen areas, have GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) circuits which detect overload or short situations and shut off. You can see an example here. Ensure the "reset" button is pressed down. Another cause could be a tripped circuit breaker. Check the circuit breakers to ensure all of them are in the "on" position.

I have a Pitco Frialator 35CS Deep fryer that is leaking natural gas leak inside gas fryer door just above gas valve assembly the leak is bubbling through each of the 3 flues above the gas valve any help...

Opening fryer door during operation does not correct gas leak problem.
If there is gas leak on your fryer's system, you have to fix the leak or replace parts if necessary.
You can download parts, operation and owner's manual at pitco web on http://www.middleby.com

Look for the safety switch that the heat element is supposed to push in when installed correctly. It may not be in all the way.
