Question about Bissell 1770 Quicksteamer II Upright Vacuum
The tank has dog hair and dirt stuck in the dirty tank. Is the anyway to open it for cleaning?
Hi Deni! The collection tank can not be opened for cleaning. You may want to fill the tank with some hot tap water and let it sit for about 30 miutes.
Here's a link to our website if you decide to order a new tank.

Looking for ther dang Instructuion booklet which/which I just saw in last day or so/ and it says what model it is.,,
altho its says quciksteamer right under the Bissel product name on the front up by handle and electrical wire holder--the SOLUTION tube runs down around the mortor housing but NO type of heating unit--So I don't get why the call it QUICKSteamer..is another GUESS
with no water is heated except for when I do use hot water or have boild water--not putting the boilng water in to tank tho=the solution flows FINE--and sems to be flowing from all sprouts
I'm not stupid-
I workled for yrs In MY dads aplpliance Co--we reapired Maytag washer & Dryers which seldom needed fixed...my lint brush I will chech & CLEAN AGAIN-- AND Pretty sure ALL FITTINGS ARE seating PROPERLY--just can get it to SUCK--the dirty water back into holder tank-unsit hasnt been used more than a dozen times..amd has worked preffect all those other times..
Seems when all esle SUCKS the vacum cleaner or Rug Shampooer WON'T

SOURCE: Bissell Pro Heat 8910 clogged?
Why the motor sounds muffled I am not sure. When the water is sucked up, it goes directly into the tank. The motor only creates the suction so it can do that. There should be a filter on the rim of the recovery tank lid, is it clean? Other then pulling the top cover off, and then the motor cover so you can inspect the motor, I really don't have a good answer for you. I t may be that that clump of hair when down the chute and into the fan, I have seen that happen with vacuum motors before.
