Question about Bowflex Treadclimber
I just put my tredclimber together, it worked for 3 seconds, then it stopped and I got an error code E1.
I had the same error message E1 at 10 seconds according to the LCD display on an older Treadclimber TC1000. I called Bowflex 1-800-792-6784 and first thing they told me was to check the drive sensor on the back left corner of machine. It is two wires connected by 2 white connectors that snap together. The end of the sensor has a rubber cap that is supposed to be approximately 1/8 inch from the drive pulley. The rubber cap plugs into a small hole within the "firewall" of the drive pulley, but the end of the cap does not actually touch anything. They can email you a picture of it. If it ever gets knocked loose, the machine will register this e1 error, in some cases- hope this helps.

We purchased a used bowflex treadclimber and brought it home in back of our pickup truck. Of course it was snowing and it got wet. We used the treadclimber then it poped up with an E1 error code. We made sure connections were tight and we pulled out the speed sensor wire in the red rubber cap and made sure it wasn't wet or dirty. Re-inserted the black end of the wire that came from the rubber cap making sure not to push clear thru so inserted a credit card between cap and magnet in the pulley. So far so good. This may help some one.
