I had the same error message E1 at 10 seconds according to the LCD display on an older Treadclimber TC1000. I called Bowflex 1-800-792-6784 and first thing they told me was to check the drive sensor on the back left corner of machine. It is two wires connected by 2 white connectors that snap together. The end of the sensor has a rubber cap that is supposed to be approximately 1/8 inch from the drive pulley. The rubber cap plugs into a small hole within the "firewall" of the drive pulley, but the end of the cap does not actually touch anything. They can email you a picture of it. If it ever gets knocked loose, the machine will register this e1 error, in some cases- hope this helps.Error Code E1 - getattachment.aspx&hm__qs=file%3d3d2f2ee0-2668-46ea-b32c-db049d56cb37.jpg%26ct%3daw1hz2uvanblzw_3d_3d%26name%3daw1hz2uwmdiuanbn%26inline%3d1%26rfc%3d0%26empty%3dfalse%26imgsrc%3dcid%253aimage002.jpg%254001c99c08.13bd6320&oneredir=1&ip=10.12.128.8&d=d6608&mf=0&a=01_0b590aaade5e800af268d347750ab151eca93264be20cd9ce2166e583b18cfe9

We purchased a used bowflex treadclimber and brought it home in back of our pickup truck. Of course it was snowing and it got wet. We used the treadclimber then it poped up with an E1 error code. We made sure connections were tight and we pulled out the speed sensor wire in the red rubber cap and made sure it wasn't wet or dirty. Re-inserted the black end of the wire that came from the rubber cap making sure not to push clear thru so inserted a credit card between cap and magnet in the pulley. So far so good. This may help some one.

4. Ensure that the Safety Tether Key is securely and properly installed onto the console or just
reinstalling the Safety Tether Key can also reset the display.

Treadmill triumph 400t has error E1

E1 usually suggests it is and Electrical error and would probably require someone with knowledge of treadmills to rectify the error.
It is very unlikely the ordinary Jo Blo can fix this problem.

Error Code E7

To fix the error you have to put the safety key in start it it and wait for it to say E7. Now press stop and incline( up) together and hold for 20 seconds. Your treadmill will start to incline up. Take out your safety key. You just restarted your treadmill and can now put the safety key back and your problem will be fixed.
