How to boot normally my laotop?

Your laptop should boot normally anyways, unless you lose power a lot or your computer shuts off improperly. When you turn your laptop again, try pressing F8 a bunch as soon as your laptop begins to turn on and you will be presented with a boot menu. From there you can select "Boot windows normally".

If your laptop refuses to boot normally even with manual intervention, you may need to look into the health of your computer. Possibly corrupt software or files on your disc. Try what i've suggested, I hope it works.

Hello, My laptop turns on and begins to start up but then goes to a black screen instead of the home login screen. What should I do?

If the normal login in screen is still partially visible under a bright light, you may have a faulty backlight. Get your machine checked.
The way to work around it could be to wait until the computer has started up (look at the hard drive light) and then put your machine into standby by closing the lid or pressing the power button (according to your settings). When you start back up again the screen should turn on as normal.

I have a 1988 Town car, it would run for a while, after I turn it off it refuse to crank again.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
You may have a bad ignition module. If the ignition module is faulty, it tends to fail and not give current when hot. Once the ignition module is cooled down it can start again. I strongly suggest that you have it replaced to resolve the problem.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

When i put on my laptop, it starts to boot and then eventually goes off. when i put it on again, it does not come on, however if i take off the battery and reinsert it and put the laptop on, it begins to...

Welcome to Fixya

This could be a hardware problem. Lets try to eliminate the possbility of a software issue. Try to boot up the computer in safe mode first and let us see if it will give you the same problem. Turn on the computer then keep on tapping F8 key. Press safe mode when prompted.

Let me know of any development when you are done with the process.

Thank you for using Fixya!

My TomTom will not start. When I turn it on it welcomes me with a cheerful tune, the welcome picture comes up and then nothing happens. When I try to turn it off it completely refuse. What shall I do?

If you have an SD card in try removing that before you power up.
You may also want to try the hard reset.
Paper clip in the tiny hole by the card slot.
Push it in firmly whilst the unit is powered up (not too hard) for about 3 seconds then release
You may have to power down and then up again and even hold down the power button a little longer the first time you do this.

When I turn on my computer it begins the boot then goes black

Try booting into safe mode. That will disable all drivers and use generic windows drivers to send commands to the devices. If that still doesnt work, id say that there is a problem with your OS installation. Backup your files using an external harddrive enclosure and reinstall the OS.
