One possible cause is the bezel under the actual button is decompressed and wont pop back up. If the laptop has one, that means the little rubber like devider between the keys and the actual board that registers the key press is comopressed. You can pop off the 6 key and clean under it as well as visually check it out. you may want to remove the keys around it as well to see any issues. If you can't get it working, an easy work around is to assign one of your function keys(F1 thru F12) to the number 6. Kinda sucks but it will work until you get it fixed up.

NOT ASSIGNED means no cashier is signed on. Find the cashier number button, probably labeled CASH #. In REG mode, press CL to clear the error, then 1, then CASH #, and Cashier 1 will be assigned. The display will show -01- Go straight from here into your sale.
Some registers are set up to not show the cashier number on the display or receipt. If 1 CASH # doesn't work, try CASH #, 1, CASH #.
Most users don't track sales by cashiers, so they forget they even have the capability, and they forget how to use that CASH # key. If you press the CASH # button without entering a number, it will sign out the active cashier, and you'll get this NOT ASSIGNED error.

I have a condre 1 to 1 my drives don't recognize each other

Hi sadafu,

Kindly double check if you have assigned the Master and Secondary Slave properly.
This must be the reason why your PC don't recognize your devices.

Hope this helps you a lot.

I have 94 cutlass supreme i don't know whats the problem with its starter. It turns on when ever if wants to and most times it doesn'y work. Can someone help me?

whenever it wants? Bad karma! Seriously, check your connections to the starter and the solenoid on the starter. That's the big (battery) cable to starter, and the small wire (purple, I think) on the solenoid thats on the starter. If they are tight and clean, you could check if 12 volts are registering at the starter with the key on (engine off. just turn key on.), or, just take off your starter and have it tested at like, Autozone. See, Jose? its either your starter or the connections to it. Sometimes a bad ignition switch will cause a no-crank situation, but if your dash lights come on when you turn key on, it's likely your starter. If starter and solenoid are o.k. you'll have to get your starting circuit diagnosed. I'd bet on the starter or solenoid, though.

I have a WD 1.5 TB My book 3.0. I have it for a couple of weeks, but now all of the sudden the PC(s) doesn't recognize the device anymore. Device manager does display the right hardware, and says it...

Try this. Download a program called discovery from WD, it is free. When installed, plug in the drive and run the discovery program. Your drive should work properly. Please let me know how it works for you.

Casio TK7000 Cash Register. I have all sales appearing as CAID and none in CHID or CKID or CRID. I have checked that Program 3 Address code 08 is set correctly. What else could be affecting this?

If the sale is finalized correctly, cash, check, etc., then cash in drawer, credit in drawer, etc. should show up.

If you don't have the cash, check, credit buttons, you can program them in like this:

PGM, then 4, followed by the desired Function Key Code, and then press the Key to assign this function to, followed by pressing the Subtotal button to save.

Cash Amount Tendered - 001 - CASH
Charge - 002 - CHARGE
Check Tender - 003 - CHECK

Refer to the following PDF document for assigning function keys, and a list of the function codes:

If you need a User's Manual for this Cash Register, here it is:
