Brand new Peavey 6505. Worked fine first day but now just blows fuse and doesn't even turn on. Will be going back but has anyone got any ideas?

Something internally has shorted...not a good indicator of this models reliability. It may pay to research another replacement brand.

Can the Peavey 6505+ channels be switched using midi in some way?

The short answer is NO... One COULD build a special MIDI interface to replace the footswitch inputs that was controlled by MIDI signals... would NOT be that hard, but would be special. One company makes a MIDI interface that is small. Use this and connect some relays to drive the foot switch inouts and it can be done.

Where can i get a new channel switch fast?

Probably from Peavey directly... they ship fairly fast... Finding EXACT parts elsewhere can be a problem.

There is a loose part in my Mini-Colossal that causes a slight rattling when playing a middle E. The rattling subsides when applying slight pressure to the power amp tube. I?ve since replaced the tubes,...

If this is a vacuum tube unit, SOME vacuum tubes will have spacers within them that can rattle. You cannot get into the tube of course to correct the problem. Replacing the tube MIGHT find one that does not have the loose parts in it.

Peavey classic chorus 212 buzzes, sguelches, squeals...

There MAY be a circuit trace on a board that is cracked OR a poor soldered connection. It is vibration sensitive as you have found. Changing a switch vibrates the unit.

Depending on what you have connected, this could even ba a bad input jack.

The unit needs to be serviced. You could open it and see if there is something obvious.
