I am trying to source a set of motor brushes for a YDK YM-170C-A Motor, as found in the Riccar 808E Sewing m/c. Also a memory card No.RB-220-02 for the same machine.

Hi
Our YM-170C-A motor is similarly not working. Can you tell us if you fiound a way of sorting the problem please or likely supplier of replacement motor perhaps? A direct email would be great please.
Many thanks

Pfaff 260 bobbin thread not picking up

Hi. This can be terribly frustrating, but the most likely cause for the bobbin thread not catching is that the needle is inserted wrong. There is a flat side on the shank of every needle and that has to be facing a specific way on your machine or the needle's grooves can't make the stitch. On most modern machines, it's my experience that the flat side goes to the rear, facing away from the operator, but some of my older machines need the flat side facing to the left or to the right.

Another thing that can cause the bobbin thread not to pick up is a bent needle, but in my experience it's usually the needle not in correctly.

(Cost me $85.00 to find this out!)

Let me know if this works, ok?

Happy Sewing!

I have toyata model 2702 EC1 series i need the foot padel. can you help?

If you just need the foot control you can buy a standard type usually YDK, if you need the harness as well you will need to take a drawing or picture of the plug on your machine so the dealer can match it up.

I have an old Kenmore sewing machine and after many years in storage dusted it off - only to discover that the foot pedal is nowhere to be found. So I am trying to find one - Kenmore Ultra Stitch 12 -...

The motor is probably a YDK, what you need to do is take a drawing of the plug on the machine and go to your sewing machine shop and you will probably get one.

My dog chewed my foot control for my necchi 3354. im trying to fix it

If the foot control is ruined it will be better to buy a new control, quite cheap, go for a YDK

Parts

Your machine needs a YDK-28 cord and a standard foot control. They should cost $14-20 for the cord and $20-30 for the control. Any competent sewing machine dealer should be able to get these parts.
Note!! You should thread the machine and manually try it before you invest this much money in it. You also need to lubricate it before you power it up for normal service.

I can't thread the Shark Euro0pro 384 unng the automatic threader

You need to check to see that there is a small hook going through the eye of the needle when you use the threader. A flashlight or bright light will help. So will a magnifying glass. If it isn't, then no amount of trying will help.
If it goes through the eye, you need to see that your thread hooks into it so that the thread can be pulled through.
