Dear FixYa Customer,
If you want to take your PANASONIC CT-36SL13 TV in for service go to this Panasonic Site and enter your zip code and they will recommend a Technican near you:
PureFlat
-TVs/model.CT-36SL13">http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Televisions/Tau-Series-PureFlat-TVs/model.CT-36SL13

If you want to attempt the repair yourself FixYa will do it's best to help you.

I went to Panasonic myself to look for parts, entered CT-36SL13 and got a "not available" from them

They do list parts available for a CT36SL13G @
https://www.pstc.panasonic.com/Epartr/PartsList.asp
I wouldn't count on these parts working for your TV unless your TV is an exact match to this CT-36SL13G model # !

Hope this is helpful.

Good Luck!

Hi!

Your Panosonic set has failed either in the power management circuits or, more seriously, one of the deflection systems has failed.

Do you hear a turn on sound when you power it ON or the current monitoring system is detecting excessive current drain from somewhere in the set and turning itself off These are among the most serious problems that a set can have.

Also chekc out for any blown fuse or burnt components or try to plug the TV in a different socket.

Also, you can try a full reset, which requires at least 4 to 6 hour disconnect from the power.

    Thanks

The power supply is most likely the issue, BUT you should check a couple more things before having it replaced.
1. check that the fuse in the back of the TV is good.
2. Try and reset the tv set by pressing and holding the up and down volume buttons at the same time
3. Try resetting by holding power button in for 15 seconds.
4. Do a hard reset by leaving it UNPLUGGED for at least 4 hours

If the tv does not reset , than your only other choice is to have the power supply replaced

Its power supply failure in TV and need to be checked by qualified TV tech.
If you have basic electronics knowledge and have good soldering skills, you can give it try.

Power supply issue. You need to replace it, do you need to have the service manual for it.

SOURCE: Wont turn on; remote/tv power switch inoperative

hi I am Vortash .. burning smells usually mean Power supply or line output .. flyback problems .. this is probably one of those jobs only an engineer should look at .. voltages on the line can exceed 400 volts and are highly dangerous the line output from the transformer depending on the type of tube can be up to 25,000 volts .. so best leave this one to the proffesionals Regards Vortash

Model number- IWT3206 A, when i plug it into an outlet the curcut board screams and wont turn on what can i do to fix it it has to be simple

The circuit board has burnt out. At this point you will have to use a universal remote or some type of cable remote to operate your TV.

I pressed the power button, but the tv wont turn on

Please check if the power cord is connected properly in the wall outlet and in the TV. Check the wall outlet. Has it got power? Check if there is red light when the power is switched on at the wall outlet. If there is red light then press the power button. Does the TV turn on? If not then your power button is defective and requires replacement as it is not making contact. Also please try to start your TV WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL. At times it helps.

Won't turn on/no power. Worked fine until i turned it off as usual, went to turn it on, no power either from "ON" button or remote. wall outlet works fine, tried it in other outlets, no luck.

Well, I used to be an authorized Apex repair center and absolutly could not get a part for a tv. You may just have a bad H.O.T. ( horizontal ouput transistor) which is what I needed. I don't even know if they are still in business. Good luck.

My sharp tv wont turn on

I don't know if you have this problem but I had a similar problem aswell. My TV remote and my universal remote wouldn't turn on or perform any of the funtions as they should. This is what I did to fix it: 1. unplug the TV from the power outlet. 2. take the batteries out of your TV remote. 3. press the power button on the TV remote, and then press every other single button one by one from left to right (as if you were reading a book). 4. plug the power cord back in the power outlet. 5. replace the batteries in your TV remote. 6. try turning on the TV using the factory remote.
These steps, as weird as they sound, worked just fine for me. My TV is now responding to my remote and my cable remote is able to control the TV again. No, I did not loose the universal (cable) remote's TV codes. FYI. the steps mentioned above were performed using the TV native remote (factory remote). Hope this will work out for you as well. And if you are wondering how I knew this would work, well I saw the same steps on another website (sorry I can't remember which website it was) and decided to give it a try before I took the TV back to BestBuy for warranty repair...which would have taken like two weeks.

TV won't turn on

If the TV wont go on with the manual button on the front panel, then you have an issue with the tv set. Try a differant wall recepticle. Or unplugging it overnight. If it wont go on with the button on the front of the set after this is tryed, then its time to go to the repair shop, as the set has a power supply problem or a problem in the HI voltage/sweep circuit. Good Luck
