Motor making noise and slowing down errors E1,E3, and E4

I have a Proform PFTL 20862 treadmill. Until recently working fine. The motor will get the walk up to speed normally but then start making noise and slowing down, speeds up, then slows down until the errors show up on the display. The components on the motor control board get really hot. The motor spins freely without much drag. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the motor or the board. I also need to know where I might find the parts. Thanks, John

First off how long have you owned the treadmill, how long have you been experiencing this problem, and how much use has this treadmill gone through? Once I have more information we can better determine the best course of action.
Thanks,
Lee

If you say the motor is working fine i would start with checking out the electronics ie the control board for replacement first.
    Thanks again,

I have problemwith my PROform 585 treadmill and recently it is stop working ,as soon as I put the machine on it makes 3 bbeps noise and its stays like that for ever ,could not get it start it at all a

1) lUBE THE deck belt vs deck, this produce shut down for to protect the treadmill in your electronic system
2) lUBE The rollers bearing very well.
3) Measure the input voltage motor , if there are voltage, the motor need repair.
4)Measure the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT the board is faulty.
see the diagram attached.

I have a proform 730 siteline, model PFTL 70070 and the electronic display is malfunctioning. Shuts machine off, sometimes it resets itself, etc. I've checked power supplies, motor control board,...

Sensor: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The optic disk and sensor are located either at the end of the motor or the right hand side of the front roller. The optic disk spins between two sensors on the optic switch. The disk must spin freely without touching either sensor. The sensors can be moved by loosening the adjustment bolt holding the switch to its bracket. The switch can then be slid. Center the disk. 11_10_2011_6_11_10_pm.gif11_10_2011_6_11_30_pm.gif

Here's the problem when you turn on the treadmill it runs fine until you put your weight on it. Once you stand on the treadmill with the belt running it gets stuck?

This condition is when the treadmill operates normally without a person on the belt and then slows down when someone steps on the

belt or when the treadmill operates normally for a given period of time

with someone on the belt then abruptly begins to slow down.

There are four typical causes for this problem (listed in order of our experience:

1) The walking belt and/or deck are worn. (85% of the time)

2) The walking belt and/or motor belt are too tight- if you have adjusted either recently. (8% of the time)

3) The motor has lost torque and needs brushes or has demagnetized. (5% of the time)
4) The controller is dropping output. (2% of the time

Test every step.

My proform 590 treadmill has these problems ; belt slips when running or walking ,speed goes up and down does not stay constant and you can hear motor noise increasing and decreasing in motor what should...

simple(maybe). go to the rear of treadmill, get the allen wrench that came with it,run at med-slow speed and adjust the rear roller with allen wrench. 1 turn per side 2 or 3 time then walk on belt until wont slip. all the problem is belt tension. also. make sure if it need lubrication under board and belt(some are lubless others dont).

good luck to you.
