First, you want to find out the square footage of the room. You do that by multiplying length times width. In your case, 14 x 12 feet would equal 168 sq/ft. Next, you multiply square feet by square meters with 1 sq/ft equaling 0.0929 sq/m. So, 168 times 0.0929 would equal 15.6072. If you google a conversion calculator for square feet to square meter , it will give you 15.6077. In other words, your room is just over 15 and 1/2 square meters. Hope this helped

Hello, to solve your question about what number to use to calibrate your broadcast spreader, please use the step-by-step instructions below:

1. If you don't already know the square footage of your lawn, please walk off or measure, multiplying the length by width. For example, my lawn is 100 ft wide by 100 ft long; this equals 10,000 sq. ft.

2. Use this figure (30,000 sq ft) to determine how much fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide,apply etc., to purchase and apply.

3. To calibrate the spreader for applying your product at the correct rate, first weigh and hold out an amount of product to cover a pre-determined test area; for example, enough for a 200 sq ft space.

4. Because most lawn fertilizers are packaged to cover areas in 1000 sq ft increments, it's easy to figure how many 1,000 sq ft applications you need for your lawn.

5. Set your spreader to 3 and measure 1/5 of the recommended application on your product, to cover a 200 sq ft area.

6. Use your spreader to cover this 200 sq ft area.

7. If there is product remaining in the hopper after walking this 200 sq ft area, increase the setting number and move to another test area, repeat steps 5 and 6.

8. If there wasn't enough product to cover the test area, back the number down, move to another test area, and repeat steps 5 and 6, until you finish with product and lawn test area at the same time.

9. Remember to never leave product in your hopper because many chemicals are corrosive and can destroy the moving parts, making the spreader inoperable.

The square foot is the smaller unit of area, so you will have to divide a measurement in square feet by the number of square feet per square meter. Since there are 10.76 square feet per square meter, divide by that value.

Obviously, to convert from square meters to square feet, you would multiply by that value.

1 square meter is 10.76391 square feet.

- This lot does not have the form or a regular quadrilateral (rectangle, square, parallelogram, etc.)
- So you cannot calculate its area, you have to know exactly the shape it has.
- With polygons, one usually cuts them into triangles.
- You have to cut it into two triangles,
- measure the base and the height of each triangle,
- use the area formula for the triangle ( area = heightX base/2)
- After you calculate the areas of both triangles, you add them to get the area of the the whole lot in ft^2.
- Using the conversion formula between acres and ft^2 which is 1 acre=43560 ft^2, you divide the area of the lot in square feet by the number 43560 ft^2 and express the result as a percentage or a fraction .
