Question about Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Calculator

One foot is 0.3048 meters. One square foot is 0.3048^2 meters = 0,9290304m^2. Multiply that by the area in square feet which is 100ft*150ft = 15000 ft^2.

The result is 1393.5456m^2

You don't. Cubic meter is a measure of volume while square meter is a measure of volume.

For example, consider a room that's ten meters by ten meters, The room is 100 square meters. Now consider a ceiling that's two meters high. The volume is 200 cubic meters. Then raise the ceiling a meter so it's three meters high. Now the volume is 300 cubic meters, while the area is still 100 square meters.

This can't be done directly as sq ft is an area, not lineal. However if you assume one side of an area you can calculate the other by dividing area by assumed length eg

An area of 100 sq ft with one side measuring 20 ft, has the other side calculated at 100 / 20 = 5 ft

.

Cubic foot is a unit of volume. Square foot is a unit of area. There is no direct conversion between them.

A 9600 cubic foot room with a ten-foot high ceiling is 960 square feet. If the roof is eight feet high, the area is 1200 square feet. If the roof is 12 feet high, the area is 800 square feet.

You don't. Square feet is a measure of area while cubic meters is a measure of volume.

Consider a room 8 ft by 10 ft. The floor area is 80 square ft. What's the volume of the room in cubic feet (let's not worry about converting to meters yet). Well, that depends on the height of the ceiling, doesn't it? If the ceiling is 8 ft high then the volume is 640 cubic feet. If the ceiling is 12 ft high then the volume is 960 cubic feet. Without that third dimension, you can't calculate the volume.

Simply square the conversion factor between feet and metres to get the conversion factor between square feet and square metres.

One foot is 0.3048 metres, so squaring that gives one square foot is 0.09290304 square metres.

About 742 million.

Not all the conversions are built into the fx-115ES (the list of conversions is printed on the inside of the calculator cover), but here goes.

First, if you don't know it, get the conversion factor from meters to inches. There's no single conversion for this on the calculator, but one way is to convert from 100 cm to inches by pressing

1 SHIFT 02 =

Store this result for future use by pressing

SHIFT RCL (-)

A hectare is 10000 m^2, so 47.90 ha is 479000 m^2. Now convert this to in^2 by multiplying by the square of the stored result. Press

4 7 9 0 0 0 * RCL (-) x^2 =

And you'll see the answer.

3.05 meters = 10.007 ft, or 120.08 in

3.92 meters = 12.86 ft, or 154.33 in

3.05 meters x 3.92 meters = 10.007 ft x 12.86 ft = 128.69 ft^2 (feet squared)

= 120.08 in x 154.33 in = 18531.946 in^2 (inches squared)

if you meant millimeters then

3.05 mm = .01 ft, or .12 in

3.92 mm = .01286 ft, or .15433 in

3.05 meters x 3.92 meters = .01 ft x .01286 ft = .0001286 ft^2 (feet squared)

= .12 in x .15433 in = .018531946 in^2 (inches squared)

**1 meter = 3.2808399 feet**

**1 meter = 39.3700787 in**

**1 millimeter = 0.0032808399 feet**

Hello,

Thanks for using FixYa.

- This lot does not have the form or a regular quadrilateral (rectangle, square, parallelogram, etc.)
- So you cannot calculate its area, you have to know exactly the shape it has.
- With polygons, one usually cuts them into triangles.
- You have to cut it into two triangles,
- measure the base and the height of each triangle,
- use the area formula for the triangle ( area = heightX base/2)
- After you calculate the areas of both triangles, you add them to get the area of the the whole lot in ft^2.
- Using the conversion formula between acres and ft^2 which is 1 acre=43560 ft^2, you divide the area of the lot in square feet by the number 43560 ft^2 and express the result as a percentage or a fraction .

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hi,

An area of 1,900 square feet is equal to**176.52 square meters** since there are 10.7639104 square feet in 1 square meter based on 3.2808 feet in 1 meter.

Alternately, there are online converters for most measurements.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
