Question about HP Photosmart C6380 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I can't print. I have reset the printer and have checked all print heads, cartridges, paper trays etc and still I have a loud knocking noise coming from inside the printer when I turn it on. After considerable printer preparation and lots more knocking I get "General Printer Error 0x61011beb" and the "Print Photos" button and "OK" button flash on and off. My HP solution center says "There is a problem with the printer. Refer to printer documentation. Press OK to continue." What does "Refer to printer documentation" mean?! I've looked through all the manuals online and can't find any clues. Any ideas, anyone? (P.S. yes, it's out of warranty . . . )
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

This error comes due to carriage jam. Turn off the printer and unplug it from wall socket. Now, remove the cartridges and check for any dried up ink residue on cartridges on inside the carriage. Clean the cartridges contacts and carriage using a Q-tip dipped i alcohol. Let the carriage and cartridges dry before you plug in the printer.
Install the cartridges and check. If it still shows error then unplug the power cord coming to the printer without switching it off. Now, remove the rear door of the printer and check for any paper jams over there, remove if any. Wit for at least 15 seconds and plug in the power cord. Now check whether it is working.

After you install a print cartridge, one of the following messages appears on the color graphics display:
NOTE: In the procedures below, the "problem" cartridge is the one identified by the message on the color graphics display. If the message does not specify a cartridge, perform the procedures on both cartridges. Step 1: Remove, inspect, and reseat the problem cartridge The print cartridge may not have full electrical contact with the printer. Removing and reinstalling the cartridge may help.
NOTE: HP cannot guarantee the quality of remanufactured or refilled cartridges.
CAUTION: Do not touch the copper electrical contacts or the ink nozzles. Figure 2: Electrical contacts and nozzles 1 - Copper electrical contacts 2 - Nozzles
CAUTION: Do not attempt to remove the copper electrical strip! Figure 3: Removing the clear nozzle protective tape
NOTE: Clean the contacts quickly so that the cartridge is not outside of the product for more than 30 minutes. If the cartridge is outside of the product for too long, the ink can dry and clog the nozzles.
