Hi , this normally happens because you need to move the side lever while moving the seat , it will lock in place then moving the lever will allow you to turn the seat.

SOURCE: Unable to remove seat to replace batteries

Sometimes it just takes two really strong people to remove these seats. Especially if it is that old. I`m not saying damage the chair, but i`ve had some that were almost impossible to remove.

SOURCE: Replacing the battery on a mobility scooter

hi, ok remove the seat by turning it to the left, there is a lever normally on the right side that will allow it be turned round,

once you done that, lift the seat in a upwards motion, the cover should come away by gemerally lifting it, it should be attached by velco underneath,

you should now see two batteries. 40Ah batteries will allow you to go further if the battery Ah is lower, 50ah batteries again will allow you can go even further NOT faster, if you buy the larger AH batteries please make sure the dimensions of the batteries will fit within the scooter battery holders.

Regards
GeWiz.

Testimonial: "Thanks so much for the help. The seat did come off in the end but with difficulty. Batteries now changed OK. Thanks again. "

SOURCE: kymco midi foru, less than 6 months old batteries will not charge.

This will be due to the batteries being left uncharged for a long period of time. Should ideally be charged once a fortnight for at least 12 hours if the scooter is not used for any period of time. Unfortunately, the only real solution is new batteries.

SOURCE: i have a mobility scooter

Hi kyoung 008

I have owned my own business for 3 years and have been working on scooters and powerchairs for 15 years. I know exactly what the problem is. In the future give as much info about the scooter as possible.

One thing you don't do is spray wd-40 into your brake. It will Ruin the brake the neopreme in your brake needs to stay dry. If your brake has seised up it may have gotten wet at one time or another, moistened even by the morning dew If left in a garage or under a carport or run through a puddle.
Replace the brake , that should fix the problem

Good Luck
