On average, about 0.022 kilowatt hours. for the vast majority of its life, it will be on standby though, when it only uses 0.005 kilowatt hours.

What makes automatic hand dryers turn on?

The new dryers have a motion sensor. It turns on when it detects your hand and then turns off when your hand goes away. This way it saves electricity by not continuing to run once you're gone (like the old automatic ones did).

How do you replace the belt ona wirlpool electric dryer

I would think there is a tension bar that takes up play on the belt ,this will have to be released. You will have to remove the back of the dryer or front depending on the model. Then you can move the small pulley with the bar with your hand,it is not that strong so hand strength should do it.Good luck.
