Restoring the factory settings on your laptop can also help resolve problems with an unstable laptop.
You should also restore the factory settings on your laptop if you plan on selling it or giving it to a family member or friend.

Restart or turn on your Fujitsu laptop. Press "F12" repeatedly when the Fujitsu logo appears on the screen to be redirected to the Boot Menu.
Highlight "Recovery and Utility" using the arrow keys on the keyboard, then press "Enter."
A progress bar will appear at the bottom of the screen while the computer is loading the recovery files.
When the files have been loaded, the System Recovery Options window will be displayed.

Select a keyboard layout, then click "Next." The Operating System dialog box appears.
Choose "Use recovery tools...," then click "Next." If prompted, type your administrator password, then press "OK." The System Recovery Options window will appear again.

Select the "Recovery" tab, then click "Restoring the Factory Image (only C:\drive)."
The restoration process will begin, and the laptop will be restored to its original factory settings.
When the process is complete, the computer will automatically restart and boot up to the Windows Setup screen.
Begin personalizing your copy of Windows.

FUJITSU Twain 32 - Code DS42019 Error pops up on screen whenever I try to use my scanner. I have restarted it many times. Any advice?

Here's what I've done. Maybe it's too late to help.
1) install the latest driver
2) restart
3) go to device manager
4) right-click on unknown device and click update driver
5) Select Let Me choose and select an imaging device
6) Click have disk and browse to c:\windows\fjmini and select fi4120c.
7) let it install the unsigned driver
8) You may have to restart after installing
9) Try opening your scanning software and then select the WIA driver for your scanner
I've installed many fujitsu scanners on windows 7 systems
Works perfectly.

My comp keeps telling me to reboot but i dont no

Your computer just wants you to restart it!!Sometimes a restart is needed to complete some updates.Just go to your start button left click, look for the shut down tab, hold your mouse over it and another tab will open in that tab you'll see restart click that.the restart could take a few mins,as it completes some updates.
I hope I've helped..Don't for get to rate this answer.

Printing problem

Hi there
You can try see if this may do it.

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Need to reattach the W key on my Fujitsu Lifebook P7230

You may have broken a plastic "hinge", more like a tab or clip. Try taking it off again and examine the underside of the key. If it looks ok, try putting it back on. If a plastic tab/clip is broken on the left side, you should be able to go to a small computer repair shop and get a replacement key for it. That way you don't have to replace the keyboard.

I have a fujitsu amilo Li 1718 and i cant turn on the wireless conections.

"Fn" + "F2". to switch on wireless

Other solutions are:

The way i get around it is to Hibernate my laptop instead of shutting it down. This makes for a faster startup, saves all your open apps, and ,of course, keeps the wifi enabled.

or

Here is the solution for starting wireless on startup :

go START > run > notepad ENTER

write this in the notepad

Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

Set oExec = WshShell.Exec("C:\Program Files\Launch Manager\WisWBSet.exe")

do while WshShell.AppActivate("Wireless Status Option")=False
WScript.Sleep 100
loop

WScript.Sleep 100

WshShell.sendkeys("{TAB}{TAB}{LEFT}~")

and save it as wifi.vbs

put the file wifi.vbs in the startup folder and this will do the job

Hope this helps, good luck

Power jack removal and installation

most laptops use a combination of screws and tab/slots clamping to keep the clam shell halves together. The tabs fit carefully into the mating slots, so it is up to you to find them. Carefully press in on the sides where the clam shell halves mate and find locations where it is more difficult to press inward. This area will be a place where to find a tab/slot mate.
