A guide to Anti Fungal Medications

Everyone has some kind of fungal germs living around them harmlessly, but some of them thrive on the surface of the obdy and lead to fungal infections in areas such as; nails, mouth and ******.
There are several different types of medications that are used to treat fungal infections. It really depends on the type of infection and severity as to which one is appropriate.
The medications work by causing damage to the cell wall of the fungus which in turn causes the cells to die.
Antifungal creams and pessaries:
Most commonly used to treat skin and ******* fungal infections. Some doctors also prescribe a mild steroid cream at the same time to reduce any inflammation.
Antifungal medications taken orally:
As these medications don't absorb into the body, they are the choice of drug for mouth and throat infections.
Antifungal injections:
This is not a common form of treatment for antifungal infections and will only be used if the infection is very serious.
Alot of antifungal medications can be bought over the counter at a pharmacy.
Just check with your pharmacist if you are taking any other medications to make sure that there isnt' a problem with them interacting.

How long does it take to treat with the antifungal medication?

The length of treatment depends on what type of fungal infection you have, how severe it is and if you have any other health problems - for example, problems with your immune system. Some courses of treatment can be as short as a few days; other courses can be a long as ten weeks (for example, fo ringworm infection of the scalp).

Do fungistatic inhibitors kill the fungi?

They do not kill the fungi and so when application ceases, the fungi can re-germinate and cause a repeat infection.

I wonder whether these ingredients are in the bombshell shimmer spray brume scintillante: Butylparaben Isobutylparaben Ethylparaben Methylparaben Propylparaben Placental...

Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben are all antifungal preservatives. (Wiki link here.)

Placental extract(s) are somewhat controversial depending on whether they are used for the protein content or the estrogen content. Generally speaking, they are safe for adult use, and if only used for the protein (has no estrogen content), then the only controversy is over mislabeling. (See FDA notes from 2007 here, and current Wiki link here.)
