You can either handwash it or else put it in the washing machine with similar colours. Make sure the detergent has no chlorine in it. You can then dry it on a line or in a dryer but on the lowest possible heat.
A bonus tip listed on their website is to put 1/2 tablespoons of hair conditioner in the wash. This keeps the fibres of the linen soft.

How do I lubricate the walking belt ?

Video about How to Lubricate a Treadmill using Liquid Lube
  • This video will demonstrate how to properly lubricate your treadmill belt and deck. This demonstration is for the application of liquid lube.
  • To begin, clean the deck and belt by loosening the rear roller bolts 10 turns as seen in the video. It is best to loosen each side five turns and then repeat the process.
  • Now that the belt is loose you can take an old towel and place it under the belt as shown in the video. Move the towel up and down the deck, then using your hands pull the belt around half way to ensure you have completely cleaned the back of the belt. Then remove the towel.
  • Open your lube packet and use half of the package to make a half circle on the deck, from the front outer portion of the deck toward the center and then back to the outer edge. Use about half the package for this arc. Now repeat the process on the opposite side. Be sure to wipe up any excess oil as it is very slick!
  • Use your hand to move the belt around some more to begin spreading the lubricant out.
  • Now tighten the rear roller bolts back to the exact amount of turns they were loosened previously.
  • Power on and start the machine; let it run slowly for a few seconds to make sure the belt is staying aligned in the center of the deck area. If it is not centered correctly, make minor adjustments to correct the issue. Tighten the left bolt to move the belt to the right and tighten the right bolt to move the belt to the left. Now walk on the belt for a minute or so to fully distribute the lubricant.
  • This concludes today's demonstration of how to lubricate a treadmill using the liquid lube.

  • Now that the belt is loose you can take an old towel and place it under the belt as shown in the video. Move the towel up and down the deck, then using your hands pull the belt around half way to ensure you have completely cleaned the back of the belt. Then remove the towel.
  • Now that the belt and deck has been cleaned; Open your wax bag and using approximately a teaspoon, place the wax on the deck as seen in the video. Now repeat the process on the opposite side. Be sure to wipe up any excess wax as it is very slick!
  • Use your hand to move the belt around some more to begin spreading the wax out.
  • Now tighten the rear roller bolts back to the exact amount of turns they were loosened previously. Remember to tighten only half way on each side then repeat the process.

Trips Circuit

worn running belt and deck. You can try to clean the belt a bit using a clean towel and running it under the belt and stand on both ends. turn the tread on and let it run for a minute or so at 2mph. hit stop and pull the towel out. make sure the tread doesn't share a circuit with the fridge or a freezer, etc. As they wear the amp draw gets greater and if its sharing the circuit it will trip more and more.
Understand, please, that every time it shuts off it is because of heat in the electronics from the extra work it is doing to push/pull that running belt over an increasingly sticky surface. The cost of reoplacing a deck and belt (the deck may be two sided and be flipped) is a lot less than eating the lower power control board and/or a drive motor. Also, do the drive belt while you are doing the run belt. Don't scrimp on that $40 as it will haunt you later.

Remove pulley from drive belt

If the belt is gooey and there is the black tar it is removed with a paper towel and once the most of it is off the pulley then I use denatured alcohol to clean off the rest. Some people have also talked about using ammonia. I use alcohol as hat is what I have in the shop.
I work on decks all the time.

Will not reverse play on deck 2-just goes very fast on this

This condition, regardless of which way the tape is moving, is caused by the failure of a rubber pinch-roller to trap the tape between capstan and the passive roller. The speed is then caused by the part of the drive driven by a small belt and a clutch that should only keep a small amount of tension on the tape in ensure clean rewinding of the tape after it has passed the head.
Lubricant in part of the transport's moving parts or a dried-out rubber roller may be causing this.If you want to try to clean the pinch roller, don't use alcohol since this can further harden the robber.Use a clean fiber-free cloth or paper towel wetted with a LITTLE naphtha and turn the roller on the wetted area. If you get some dark smudging, the treatment is working.

Sounds like airplane taking off

1. You may have a worn belt and deck problem ( #1 problem on treadmills ). Test by the following procedure:
a) without the power on stand on the walking belt
b) push the belt2_bing.gif in the direction it normally turns
c) if the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill) this means that you have high belt/deck friction.

You must physically inspect the belt and deck. The deck should be smooth. The belt should have aconsistent feel from side to side (a belt can be worn out without any sensory signs of a problem). If you feel deep grooves in the deck or uneven wear on the underside of the belt, part replacement is necessary. Continued use of your treadmill may damage expensive electrical components. If their is no signs of excessive wear then the next step is to lubricate the deck follow this procedure:

Before applying lubricant, the belt must have the tension reduced and cleaned deck. Loosen the tension roller by following the instructions in your owner’s manual. Do not loosen the bolts in the tension roller too far or the bolts will come out of the roller shaft. This step may not be necessary for your treadmill model or belt and deck condition.
Contaminants are the worst enemy of your belt and deck. Some treadmills may have an excessive accumulation of dirt and contaminants. If these are trapped during the belt lube process, significant damage will occur. Lift the belt and slide a moist towel between belt and deck, slide the towel the length of the unit to catch the contaminants do this a number of times inspect towel and need be use a fresh towel and repeat cleaning let dry then apply the lube in the center upper third of deck then start unit and walk on it @ 1-2mph for about 5 min. You may purchase the lube from National Gym Supply @ gympart.com Part# TM001 or call them @ 1-800-496-7278 their on the west coast. At this point I believe your problem should be resolved if the above procedures have taken care of problem take a look at the next step, as mentioned the #1 cause of treadmill failure is lack of maintenance of the belt a

On occasion, you may have already damaged the DC board if you have high belt/deck friction. If the belt walks freely, you have a different problem.

2. If it passes the belt/deck checks, you may have a DC board output problem. If the belt tests ok and you have a speed variation, try this test:
  1. Set the speed to 2.5 MPH. Let the treadmill run without anyone on the belt. Check to see if the speed is constant or if there is a variation.
  2. If there is no variation, step on the belt. If the speed slows down or speeds up, you may have an output problem on the DC board. This is the board that connects directly to the motor. Check the speed sensor if it is a magnetic sensor unit ( Under motor shroud usually attached on the left hand side of frame with 1/8' clearance between sensor and front roller pulley) you can test continuity with a multi meter or replace with a new part to test. Many times passing a kitchen magnet in front of the signal will make a speed display on the console if the magnetic sensor is good.
