I'm crocheting round doilies. I'm using 4 ply wool and a 2.70 hook. The work gets very "wavy" after a few rounds. Do I need a bigger hook?

Sounds like you may need a smaller hook. If the project is getting ripply instead of laying flat, then there is too much "fabric."

Hi there, I have crocheted a round (108cms) and want to make it into a square. I have tried several times and cannot get it right. Please, please can you tell me what to do.My name is Cynthia

It can be done, but would be very difficult to explain.

In effect, when you get to what would be a corner, you add extra stitches to what would be the corner. You can add some chain stitches. Another thing would be (for example) if doing single crochet, go from single crochet, to double crochet, to triple crochet, then to double crochet, and back to single crochet. The extra length of the double and triple crochets would form a corner that will become more evident when the next round is crocheted.

How do I hide the cords and electric on the lazy boy recliner two control boxes and cords quite ugly

Hi Mary:
My grandmother would crochet a doily to put over it.
My grandfather would but an empty beer carton over it.
My parents would not care.
My wife would wake me up (I'd be sleeping in the recliner) and tell me to build a cabinet, paint it, and install it so it would hide the controls and she could put a plant on it.
I would put a pillow over it.
Ta Da!

What can I use to decorate my living room table?

As a designer, my favorite way to decorate a living roomtable is by placing a large, bright doily over it. When the ends of the doily fall just over thesides of the table, it looks classic! Putting a medium d glass vase in thecenter with one type and color of flower in it always tops the table offperfectly.
