How do i fix my bolt cutters

you can try tightening all the pivot bolts but generally when this happens there is not much that can be done but to junk them
the secret with bolt cutters is to get the size that is 3 times the size of any bolt you intend to cut as cutting a maximum size bolt on smaller cutters is what puts them out of line

My blades are a little dull will the blades still cut through a bolt?

You shouldn't really be using dull bolt cutters because it requires more force to cut through the metal which increases the likelyhood that you will get an injury. Yes you can use dull bolt cutters but you should always make sure that your blades are sharp before you use them.

Are bolt cutter blades really sharp?

A pair of new or freshly sharpened bolt cutters will be sharp enough to cut through skin if you run your finger along the blade. Never run your finger along the blade to check for sharpness.

Flymo electric power trim..dual auto feed line keeps getting wound around the drive shaft...bloody annoying any suggestions.. Ian (M)

Most trimmers have a cutter on the shield by the spool. This cuts excess line off to prevent it from wrapping around the shaft. If the shield has been removed or the cutter is dull it will allow extra line to wrap around the shaft.

How do I assemble the bar and chain on my 1.5hp chain saw MS1415?

Start by removing the bar nut/nuts, and remove the side cover, if the chainbrake is in the cover make sure this is off by pulling the hand guard fully back to the top handle, before removing the side cover, wind the chain adjuster screw fulley in toward the rear of the saw ( it may be in the crankcse, or in the side cover ) now assemble the guide bar onto the bar bolt/bolts, loop the cutter chain over the sprocket, and into around the tip of the guide bar, and into the bar rails, make sure the sharp end of the cutters on the top of the guide bar are facing away from the saw ( the chain rotates clockwise as you look at it ) now align the adjuster hole in the bar with the adjuster pawl on the machine, now re fit the side cover, if the adjuster pawl is in the cover make sure this lines up with the adjuster hole in the bar, assemble the bar nut/nuts finger tight, adjust the chain so as it touches all the way around the guide bar ( not sagging on the bottom of the bar ) with a gloved hand pull the chain around the bar to make sure it is free and sitting in the sprocket correctly, re adjust the chain if required, now lift the nose of the bar and fully tighten the bar nut/nuts

• Remove the old batteries and fully clean off the circuit board solder-pads using unsolder braid.
• Mark the installation date on the new batteries in a place where it will be visible
• Install new batteries, making sure the polarity is correct (cut the tabs to a correct length if they extend too far through the circuit board)
• Solder the battery tabs being careful not to short the electrical circuitry as the batteries are electrically LIVE at this point
• Re-install the circuit board and other parts following the procedure in the reverse order (be sure to put a soft rubber pad over the motor to hold it firmly in place when the upper case half is snapped in place)
• Before installing the metal retaining clips be sure that the rubber boot is fully free and not pinched between the case halves
• Finalize the assembly by reinstalling the cutters and screen
